Let me start out by saying, I apologize for the delay in releasing my full blog post on Vidrine’s Steakhouse. When I say that my schedule has been beyond crazy with reviews, restaurant openings, family events and my kids extracurricular activities.

I am so happy to see Summer. Time of rest, relaxation, travel and a lot of fun.

Enough about me, let’s hear all about Vidrine’s Steakhouse.

Vidrine’s is a newly constructed building in Carencro, LA.  The menu offers Vidrine’s Famous Steaks, cooked either the regular way or charbroiled! In addition, Burgers, Plate Lunches, Ribs, and Seafood.

We ordered the Seafood Gumbo for an appetizer. The seafood gumbo had shrimp and crabmeat. The gumbo was well seasoned, with a nice kick.

Though the gumbo was delicious, it was a bit overpriced for the portion size. More gumbo gravy and rice than seafood.

We also ordered a half rack of pork ribs. The pork ribs were smoked baby back ribs that were basted in Vidrine’s own amber sauce. The ribs were tender and tasty. I would have liked a little more sauce on my ribs, but the ribs were superb.

The ribs were served with a stuffed potato and a house salad. The stuffed potato was delicious; a nice kick.

We ordered the Blazing Burger. The blazing burger is prepared with additional seasoning for an extra kick, fried onion rings with pepper jack cheese and spicy mayo.

This burger was delicious. The meat was fresh, all certified angus beef. The burgers are prepared with the remainder of the meat that is trimmed from the steak meat. Reminded me of a Cajun Blaze that I ate as a teenager. So good.

The burgers were served with fries. The fries were seasoned but they weren’t the best. With such a yummy burger, the side should compliment the dish.

We didn’t try a steak but for staying with the fresh never frozen theme, the steaks are cut in-house.  The top seller at Vidrine’s are the Filet, Ribeye or burgers.

Not a fan of steak? No worries, Vidrine’s also serves Salads, Sandwiches and other Light menu items like Grilled Tilapia, grilled chicken, served with steamed veggies and a salad.

Vidrine’s had a nice space that would be perfect for a party or to accommodate a large group.

The waitress that waited on us was very informative. It was only her first day as a waitress but she did a phenomenal job. She knew what she was talking about and answered whatever questions that I had.

Overall Vidrine’s is a casual restaurant that offers a variety of options on the menu. The food was really good. The service was great.

Vidrine’s is a good place for a large group. While we were dining there were a few large parties and it appeared that they accommodated large groups well.

A good date night place or a night out with friends. No matter what the occasion, I recommend Vidrine’s if you are in the Carencro area.

We didn’t try dessert, because none of the desserts interested us. But Vidrine’s does carry desserts.

I loved the fact that Vidrine’s has paintings and art available for purchase showcased on the wall. The art was created and designed by local artist. Pretty cool.
