Taco Tuesday is one of my favorite days.  I mean you can’t go wrong with Tacos.  The toppings and variety is endless.  There are so many options to choose from.

Recently, I stumbled upon Tito’s Cantina Mexican Grill a few weeks ago.  Tito’s Cantina is a Tex-Mex restaurant located in the Cypress area near the Cypress Park and Ride.

As I approached the restaurant the patio caught my eyes.  I love wide opened patios. Perfect for the cool days ahead.

I entered the dining area of the restaurant and I was greeted by a few staff members. They allowed me to choose where I wanted to sit.

I sat near a window in a booth with the perfect view of the entire restaurant.  Lovely.

The waiter arrived at my table to take my drink order and answer any questions I had with the menu.  I ordered a fruity mocktail  and gave the bartender free reign to create whatever he wanted.  He created a beautiful virgin strawberry margarita.

The margarita was really nice.  Simple yet a classy presentation.  The taste was superb. The right mix of ingredients.

The waiter returned with chips and red and green salsas.  The salsas were both delicious. The green one was my favorite.  So good.  Spicy goodness.

I ordered the Southwest Quail Bites for my appetizer.  The Southwest Quail Bites included quail that was wrapped in bacon-jalapeno.  Served on bed of squash and zucchini with a jalapeno honey glaze topped with sweet pickled peppers.

This dish was amazing.  It was shocking how good this dish was.  I loved the presentation of the dish.  The ingredients worked so well together.  The squash and zucchini balanced the heat in this dish.  Really good.

For my entree, I tried the Chicken Tinga Tacos.  This dish included two Flour tortillas that were filled with seasoned chicken, guacamole, cotija cheese, cilantro.  The presentation of the tacos was lacking.  But flavor wise it was a pretty good.  Not the best I’ve had but decent.  I would recommend working on plating of the taco and maybe adding a little more salt and pepper to intensify the flavors that are on the taco.

Overall, I loved my experience at Tito’s Cantina.  The service was amazing.  I arrived right before the rush but my waiter was amazing.  He was knowledgeable, accommodating and helpful.

The food and drinks overall was really good.  I loved that the menu offerings was extensive.  I can’t wait to take my husband and kiddos to check out Tito’s Cantina.

The restaurant is kid friendly with a family environment.  The restaurant has a cool vibe and a great look.
