The Local Table is a fast casual neighborhood restaurant. Bringing good food, a relaxed atmosphere with a family environment to the Lakeland Village Center in Bridgeland.

I recently attended the Grand Opening.

The buzz around this new restaurant had been buzzing for a while. The wait is over.

We tried a few dishes that intrigued me enough to want to go back.

My daughter and I decided to go for lunch earlier this week.

Our waiter arrived to take our drink order. The bartender created me a yummy, Strawberry, Lime and Mint Mocktail. He did a really good job.

We quickly decided on our appetizer, the Crab Cakes. Two blue crab cakes topped with sweet roasted corn, chipotle chili sauce on a bed of baby greens.

The crab cakes were incredibly delicious. Beautifully presented. The crab cakes were a good size. I could have eaten this dish as my meal. A really good dish.

My daughter ordered the Penne Pasta with Alfredo sauce. A good portion size for a kid. She loved the dish.

I was craving comfort food, so I decided on the Mama’s Meatloaf. All-natural beef with French green beans and mashed potatoes, topped with poblano mushroom cream sauce, garlic toast.

This dish really impressed me. Meatloaf can go either way, good or bad, but they nailed the season and cook of this meatloaf. Flavorful, moist, well seasoned meatloaf topped with a red sauce.

The poblano mushroom sauce on top of the mashed potatoes was oh so good! I want to learn how to make this sauce. Killer good.

I loved that the green beans were fresh.

We saved some of our entrees so we could have enough room to try one of their delicious desserts.

The Chocolate Molten Lava Cake a la mode was the winner. We were in chocolate heaven. The Chocolate Molten Lava cake was prepared perfectly. When you cut into the cake the melted chocolate was flowing out the cake. I loved that it was topped with ice cream. Perfection.

A sweet finish to a fun lunch with baby girl.

Overall, every dish we ordered was visually appealing. I love that the dishes are created with fresh ingredients. Well seasoned dishes and large portion sizes. We left with a doggie bag for lunch the next day.

The vibe of the Local Table is family friendly. A place to go and unwind from a long day. Grab a drink, dinner or dessert with a friend. Whoever you go with, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
