I’m fresh off our Family Vacation at Universal Studios.  Be prepared because I have a ton of content coming about our trip to Universal Studios.

Anyways, let’s talk food, The Cowfish Sushi & Burger Bar.

After an early morning flight and checking into our hotel, we were hungry.

We headed to City Walk and searched for something to eat. The Cowfish Sushi & Burger Bar was located in the front area of City Walk. With bright and eye catching colors we were intrigued by the name so we decided to give it a try.

The Cowfish is a restaurant Burger and Sushi Bar that is offering the fusion, Burgushi. “cutting-edge fusion of sandwiches made with sushi stuff, and sushi built with burger stuff, this unique eatery offers the best of both worlds”.

Bright and colorful throughout. The decor was clean looking and stylish.

We dined near the window which was perfect. A seat overlooking the park watching people as they entered and left City Walk.

The kiddos were ready to eat so we quickly decided on what we would eat.

Our son ordered the Dragon Bitez, which consisted of all-natural chicken chunks that were grilled. Served oranges, edamame and a dessert. A good option for the kiddos, Bento box style meals.

Our daughter ordered The Cowfish Mini Burgers bento box. This consisted of Two all natural beef mini-burgers topped with American cheese. Baby girl chose oranges and fries for her side dishes.

Bento box style meals were good option for the kiddos.  I Ioved that The Cowfish had several entree options to chose from for kids.

My husband also went with a bento style box. He ordered the The Cowfish Bento Box. A combo meal featuring both a burger and sushi. The meal included a mini-burger with American cheese, pickles and chopped red onion, sweet potato fries, Thai cucumbers, edamame and choice of a 4 piece California sushi roll.

This gave him a good combination of what Cowfish offers.

I ordered the Taste Explosion Roll. This roll combines sushi and a burger into one.  It’s typically known as the Burgushi most places, which is a sushi burger fusion. I had heard of this prior to eating at The Cowfish. I couldn’t wait to actually try their version of a Burgushi.

The Taste Explosion Roll  is made with certified angus beef, applewood bacon, jalapeños, spicy mayo, coated with tempura flakes. Then topped with Roma tomato and pepper jack cheese, then baked and drizzled with cashew cilantro pesto.

An interesting concept. The plating was a bit strange visually, but the flavors worked extremely well together. Spicy and quite tasty. The sushi texture with a flavorful mini patty. I loved the spicy mayo and cashew cilantro pesto. So good.

Overall, The Cowfish is a cool spot.  A family friendly atmosphere that is conveniently located at the entrance of City Walk. Great views in certain areas of the restaurant. The restaurant has a cool vibe and is colorful with a clean look.

If you are in the City Walk area of Universal Studios, I recommend checking out this spot.  You don’t have to go to Universal Studios to eat at The Cowfish.
