Getting Older & LEGACY

Is it just me or does everyone dread the thought of getting older?

Every year I feel like the week or two leading up to my birthday I began to start analyzing my life.

Thinking of what I wanted to do this year that I didn’t do. Have I reached the goals I set the year before?

Is my life setting a good example?

Legacy is something that has been ringing all year in my spirit because our church has been celebrating the Legacy of Lakewood church.

Which reminded me that one day my children will be married and have children.

Is the legacy I am building going to be a good one that will he passed on from generation to generation?

One thing that is of paramount importance for my Legacy is teaching my kids the importance of loving God and others.

I want to be known for my love for God and my love for others.  “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’  All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:36-40 New International Version (NIV).

Lord let my life be more than just words with my mouth but correct actions.

What Legacy are you building, instilling in and passing on to your kids?

I will leave this quote by the late Cameron Boyce, “What you leave should be bigger than you”. So well said.

Just a little Wednesday Wisdom.

Happy Wednesday!
