March Madness is here and it has been MADNESS! Omg! Nail biting games, major upsets and just good games. Whether you are watching NCAA Men or Women’s basketball March Madness has been entertaining for sure!!! 🏀🏀🏀🏀
Our team, LSU Women’s basketball team is headed to the sweet 16. So we are stoked. But I have to be honest this is our team, but there are a few other teams we’re rooting for, I’m trying to keep my bracket alive!!
There are several big games today.

I made my own spicy ranch with the NEW spicy ranch seasoning from hidden valley ranch. So so good!

The Best Stop is known most for their Boudin, Cracklin, plate lunches but they offer so much more. The super market has seasoned meats, many cajun delicacies but one of the most recent things we’ve tried is their Jalapeño Chicken Patties. These patties were spicy, well seasoned and very delicious.

In time for March Madness I have a new wings recipe, my Alfredo Chicken wings! I wanted to keep things light with this one. Instead of chicken Alfredo pasta just my Alfredo wings.

Pizza and cookies are a great combination right? After our time on the Top of the Rock NYC we went down to Rockefeller center for lunch and dessert.

Ace’s Pizza serves Detroit style pizza. Here’s what we ate:

* Cheeseburger pizza this pizza was incredible and so delicious. Incorporating all the flavors of a cheeseburger. Superb!
* Buffalo chicken pizza spicy, well balanced pizza with celery added nice texture to the pizza.
The pizzas were incredible! Detroit style pizza might be my favorite. These pizzas didn’t disappoint.

For dessert we tried Chip City Cookies. Here’s what we tried:
* The teen had the Double chocolate chip chocolatey cookie. Yummy.
* I tried the cookie butter cookie! This cookie was scrumptious! Warm cookie with soft gooey inside.

I also stopped in at Cool SIPS. Cool sips is a modern soda shop that offers build your own drinks as well as signature drinks. The vibe is a summer vibes with homage to surf and beach culture. Cool off with cool sips.

* I created a build your own drink with Starry, lime, mint, strawberry syrup and dragon fruit boba. So yummy and refreshing.

Rockefeller center is a great spot to Eat and play. Be sure to check out the Roller Rink too!! @rockefellercenter

My daughter and I are fresh off of a trip to NYC with the Fine Arts department at her school. This trip was sooo good. It didn’t disappoint.

Katy has a new Hot chicken spot. We stopped in to try this new spot out. Hangry Joe’s Hot chicken is a rapidly growing Nashville style chicken spot.
Here’s what we tried:
* Little man tried the kid’s chicken fingers sandwich. This sandwich was huge for a kid’s sandwich. Tasty, good portion.
* Our teen had the Loaded Mac and cheese. Cheesy, spicy goodness.
* Hubby tried the Korean chicken nuggets. Spicy, fried well. Hubby said it was just ok.
* I tried the Chicken Sando the best of the day! Crispy chicken and well balanced flavors. Superb! Hangry sauce is delicious.
We really wanted to try the shakes but this location didn’t have any yet. But she said it was coming soon.

Overall the chicken was superb. Everything was made to order. Food was pipping hot. The spice level is different than normal spice. I am from Louisiana and I can tolerate spice but the medium was really hot for me. Other than that the food was excellent. The hot chicken sandwich was so fresh. One of the best I’ve had here in Houston.
The service wasn’t that great. We walked in and they looked at us like we were lost. I had to speak to the girl working the counter first. That shouldn’t be.

Other than that the food was exceptional. Made with fresh ingredients. @hangry

I love a coffee shop with delicious coffee and a good vibe. But I really love a Coffee shop that serves food that’s delicious like a restaurant.
Buzz & Bites is one of the coolest, yummiest coffee shop/bistro I’ve been to in a very long time.
From the coffee to the speciality drinks, burgers, sandwiches, the food was exceptional.
As we walked in we loved the vibes of the coffee shop, bright and airy and very welcoming. The decor was accented in a bright yellow. I loved the layout of the bistro.

Here’s what we tried:

* Berry berry hibiscus superb fruity drink
* Hibiscus Guava Passion tasty well balanced drink
* Little man had the chicken tenders with waffle fries crispy fresh chicken
* Baby girl ordered the adult cheese, cheesy goodness
* I ordered the oh yeah burger, the burger was well seasoned and I love the egg yolk on the burger. Yummy.
* My hubby ordered the Bumblebee Burger, this burger was different and the sweet chili sauce added a nice flavor to the burger.
* My teen had the peppermint bark frappe( holiday season only) really good
* I also tried the Marshmello Latte this one was really good.
* My son had the bumble bee cookie. He loved it. Really cute too.
* My husband had the hot chocolate. Delicious.
Overall we loved Buzz & Bites. A cute spot with great customer service. It was a great spot that accommodates families. There is indoor and outdoor seating as well.
Love the vibe of the place. The service was excellent. Everything was made to order. Really good food for a coffee shop. If it was closer to me, I would definitely visit often.

You can’t go to the Rodeo without eating some of the delicious food!
Now I have to admit I didn’t plan what food booths I would try. Which I wish I had.
I will say I think the timing you eat is important to prevent standing in the long lines.
We wanted to try Trill Burgers but man that line was wrapped around so we avoided the line. But if you we go back it will definitely be on our list. @rodeohouston

So here are some of the yummy bites we had:

* Brisket loaded Mac and cheese
* Philly Cheesesteak loaded Mac and cheese
* Smoked Turkey leg
* Beef Baked Potato
* Funnel cake topped with powered sugar, ftesh strawberries and whipped cream. Ohhhh man so good.
* Fried cookie dough topped with powdered sugar and chocolate sauce. Yum 😋

My son recently celebrated a birthday. I don’t know if your kids are like mine but they always have a list of things they want. One of the things on his list was that he wanted to go to the Rodeo.

My crew in and I stopped in at the new Nando’s Peri Peri location in Katy, TX. Nando’s is a South African restaurant that serves flame grilled chicken with different sauces and heat levels. Yummy goodness. The term Peri-Peri means chili peppers. The sauces are delicious.
The new Katy location is absolutely beautiful. Offering indoor and outdoor seating. Here’s what we tried:
* Housemade Lemonade
* Housemade Mango Citrus Lemonade
* Peri Peri chips (fries) with Perinaise
* Little man had the Grilled drumstick and thigh with peri peri chips. A nice portion for kids and the chicken was tasty.
* Our teen had the Nando’s Chicken sandwich with the peri Mac. She loved this sandwich but the Mac and cheese was the star. She said it was bussin’ bussin’. I have to agree it was superb!
* My hubby tried the chicken thighs with red skin mashed potatoes. He said it was just ok for him. But was much better with the sauce.
* I tried the Peri Chicken Rainbow Bowl. Made with Avocado, tomato cucumber & onion salad, pickled cauliflower, hummus, feta, and superseed crunch, served over Portuguese rice and finished with a Lemon & Herb PERi-PERi drizzle. Excellent bowl. Healthy option. Great flavor and something I could eat over and over again. I added some heat by adding some of the Peri Peri Garlic sauce. That sauce is incredible. I have to pick up a few bottles next time we dine. Really good.
The service was top notch. From the time we entered to the minute we left. The staff was great. The food was delicious. A healthier alternative to enjoy chicken without sacrificing flavor. The restaurant was beautiful. A kid friendly dining establishment. They have a really nice patio area.

This was one of the easiest and tastiest Baked chicken dishes I’ve ever eaten.

Salt and Vinegar Chips are one of my favorite chips. During my last trip to the grocery store, I picked up a bag. Well I had the bright idea to use the salt and vinegar chips like a panko to fry my shrimp. Yeah that’s what I said, Salt and Vinegar Shrimp.
It’s Fry-Day so we decided to Fry up some shrimp. These poboys were delicious. A twist on our classic shrimp poboys which is very popular back home at this time of year, because it’s Lent Season. @fritolay @lays

Growing up I spent a lot of time at my Grandma’s house. There was a corner store in walking distance of her home. I would walk to the corner store with my friends and cousins every day. The corner store always had nachos and chili dogs or chili and cheese sausage dogs.
Chili and cheese sausage dogs were always so good. I was craving one the other day and made some for lunch.
I added something different sweet Heat jalapeños from Mt. Olive pickles. So good!!
