Visiting coffee ☕️ shops is one of my favorite things to do. I work from home most days but there are some days I love to venture out and work at a coffee shop.
I stopped in at Cafe ZunZun Coffee Roaster.

Cafe ZunZun is a coffee shop but they are also coffee roasters.

Cafe ZunZun has a cool vibe. Relaxing, calm, zen environment that makes you want to stay awhile.

They have some delicious coffee. I tried a Cappuccino and it was delicious. Well balanced, nice punch of caffeine.

They have a really nice open air outdoor patio area.

My only complaint is that Cafe ZunZun had very limited food items. If you will refer to yourself as a cafe, it’s important to have an assortment of pastries or sandwiches.

Other than that it’s a great spot to work, catch up with friends or grab a latte, cappuccino or pour over to go!

I have to admit Life has been pretty crazy and hectic for me. But as moms we just keep it moving. Honestly that’s not always the best thing.

Sometimes you have to take a minute and rest in order to recuperate and be your best self. If you aren’t your best self, how can you be the best for anyone else.

Remember it’s ok Moms to take a break for yourself. We all need it and we will be better for it.
Self care is important and it’s ok. Don’t feel guilty about it, you deserve it!

One of my self care routines is just time in the word or reading a good book.

A great go to scripture is “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Sunday Funday calls for Fun stuff!!
My family and I, Along with one of my daughter’s friends checked out the NEW Main Event in Tomball.

Main Event is a great place to hang out with family and friends. Offering an array of games, laser tag, bowling, food and so much more.

We had a great time!! It was a lot of fun! We are a gamer family. The kids loved all of the different game options. There was a large amount of VR games as well.
Main event is a great place to host a party as well.

The food at this location was not our favorite. The service was great!

The Katy location has much better food.
This location has only been open for about 3 weeks so they may still be ironing out the kinks.

No matter what age your kids are there is definitely something there they will enjoy.
We will spend a lot of time this summer at Main Event. There are several locations in the Houston area. Visit their website for more information.

I decided to make a Dill Cheesy Shrimp Baked Potato.

New week + New Book + New Restaurant = Monday Success

I stopped in to check out the new restaurant CAVA in Cypress, TX.

This Customizable Braised Lamb bowl was soooooo good. I can definitely see myself eating at CAVA at least once a week.

📸: Braised lamb on a bed saffron basmati rice and super greens with tzatziki and red pepper hummus, harissa, pickled onions, feta, cucumbers, fire roasted corn, crispy pita chips and tomatoes. Delicious.

All of the ingredients were so fresh.

One of my favorite things to do for Mother’s Day is to just relax. We live a busy life and learning to rest and just enjoy some downtime has been my favorite the last few years.
