Directions:
Cut bacon into pieces. I like thick cut bacon best in my cabbage. Set aside.
Cut the bacon into pieces. Remove the core.
Add Olive oil to the pot. Heat the oil.
Brown the bacon in the hot pot until crispy. Use a slotted spoon or catch the bacon grease in a bowl. Add to a plate lined with paper towel to remove the excess grease. Set aside.
Use the bacon grease and saute the onion and bell pepper.
Once the onions begin to sweat, add the cabbage.
Add the cabbage brown, stirring often. Begin browning for about 5 - 8 minutes.
Add one container of chicken stock. The stock will add more flavor.
Add the bacon in and stir.
Turn fire to medium to low heat. Season with onion powder, garlic powder, seasoning. *Watch the seasoning because bacon has it's own salt and you don't want to over salt.
Cabbage makes its own water after a while. Cook until the cabbage is tender. Usually about 20 minutes. Stir occasionally. I like my cabbage with some of the juice left in it.
