From grilling to hibachi to homemade pizza we have done it all. Recently we added a new outdoor kitchen appliance to our patio, this Deep Fryer. My husband is a pro at frying. That’s his thing. Mother’s Day is filled with joy, love and fun for many moms. But it can also be a day of grief for those who maybe have loss their moms, grandmas, children, etc. But it also brings sadness to those some who maybe in an infertility journey. I can remember many Mother’s Day crying because we were dealing with infertility and didn’t know when or if we would ever conceive. But for that woman who maybe struggling and feeling like I felt many years. Don’t give up! Keep the faith. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort. He comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort we ourselves receive from God. I’m a testimony of God’s faithfulness and His promises. I always take time to remember the struggle and what I went through to become a mom. This one is a hard one. 🥹Last week we loss the Mat This one is a hard one. 🥹Last week we loss the Matriarch of our family. What a legacy she leaves behind. I’m so grateful for my grandmother. I wouldn’t be the woman that I am today without her guidance, wisdom and love. She was one of my best friends. We talked about everything. She and I would do so much together growing up. Even after my kids were born, she was inspirational in my life as well as their lives. She had an incredible bond with my husband as well. We moved to Texas and she would visit us every chance she got. Showed up for events here in Texas for our kids. A big hole is left in our hearts, but we rejoice in knowing where she is going. 🙌🏽 She lived a blessed life, 94 years. We are to cast all our burdens on Him for He cares for us. He cares for all the things that concerns us. It’s interesting that He uses people to bless our lives in so many ways and at the right time. Our daughter recently visited UT Austin on a colle Our daughter recently visited UT Austin on a college tour. Prior to the tour we stopped in for lunch at Cipollina for lunch. Cipollina is an Italian bistro with a small, hometown feel. A place that you could dine at weekly and never get tired eating the food. Each item we tried was super fresh and so so good. The best dish of the day was the Bolognese. OMG! Pasta perfection. The bolognese was made of tagliatelle noodles, brisket, bacon, tomatoes, parmesan and herbs. Absolute perfection.
