Yesterday my kiddos requested hot chocolate and gumbo. Yes, yes and yes was my answer.

I made this super easy, quick Chicken and sausage gumbo with @karysroux. I tossed in some fresh lump crab and sausage. Don’t forget the potato salad. 😋😋

The leftovers will be even better!

So yummy!

Last weekend my family was in town for our daughter’s birthday. The weather was amazing, so we cooked outside and hung out for a delicious Burger Night. 🍔
I created my Texas BBQ Burger.

It took me several years to realize the importance

It took me several years to realize the importance of REST.
We aren’t machines, we have to stop sometimes.
It’s important for us to slow down and be still.
Sitting outside in silence has become one of my favorite things to do.
God really speaks to me in the quiet moments. No distractions. Just me and Him one with nature.
Today is the first day of Fall and man it’s a nice one! A Cool breeze, sunny sky and lunch outside. So nice.
Wisdom nugget for today, take a few minutes to sit outside and enjoy some quiet time. I promise you will thank me later.

Ahi Tuna is not something I eat often. I’m not sure why, I don’t but recently I played around with a dish with Ahi Tuna.

I made my version of a Poke Bowl. Simple and easy. I love the way it turned out.

📸: Marinated Ahi Tuna with my own marinate mixture served with white rice, cucumbers, crispy onions, lettuce, carrots and edamame soybeans. Drizzled some spicy Mayo and sesame seeds over the top. Really good. Will definitely make this again.

My Chicken Fajita Fiesta Bowl was a hit last night with the family.

Only a few simple ingredients made for a delicious dinner.
