I love technology. I am always testing new product I love technology. I am always testing new products to add to my collection. For Christmas I received a pair of RayBan Meta sunglasses. I have the Shiny Warm Stone Transparent with Tint to Saffron Yellow Transitions lens color. I wanted to use these awhile before giving a review on these. Now that I’ve used the smart glasses for about 5 months I have to say these are genius! The smart glasses are handsfree. It’s voice activated allowing me to communicate all my commands without moving a finger. I can ask meta what I’m looking at and it will tell me what it is. If I want more information it will give it to me. From taking pictures to video recording, listening to music, research. These glasses are amazing. You don’t need any other headphones. I love to wear my pair while I workout. I can video or photograph my jogs, runs or walks. Listening to music is so nice. It’s clear and crisp. I’ve used these to record anything from my daughter’s basketball games, taekwondo training for my son, cooking recipes in the kitchen, restaurant reviews. @raybanmeta Plus so much more. For Mother’s Day we went back to Louisiana to ce For Mother’s Day we went back to Louisiana to celebrate with my mom and family. We stopped in for lunch with the family at Uncle T’s. Uncle T’s is one of the last restaurants I reviewed in Louisiana before moving to Texas. Uncle T’s invited me to try their restaurant in Scott. I reviewed their extensive menu over 6 years ago. The food was superb back then but man I was happy to see how that Uncle T’s is just as good now! The restaurant was packed Mother’s Day weekend. The wait was pretty long but I have to say it was worth the wait. The staff was exceptional and the food was incredible. Details on what we tried: * boudin capital egg rolls * Fish bites * Holly Beach Slammer, Nola style, Le Bon Cochon, Classic Candy * The Swamp Thang fried alligator, lettuce, tomatoes, candied jalapeños and Landry sauce * Cue Time Seafood Platter with crawfish tails, alligator, fish, oysters and shrimp * Fish and shrimp combination basket * Fried oyster basket Let me tell, the food was superb! Everything was served pipping hot. To say they were busy the service was spot on! The waitress was amazing! She did her job well! I see why Uncle T’s is still around. A few days ago we went as a family to see the Disn A few days ago we went as a family to see the Disney Movie Lilo & Stitch. It’s been at least 8 years since we’ve gone to a traditional movie theater. We typically go to Dine-in movie theaters for dinner and a movie. But we switched it up this time by watching the movie in 4DX. “4DX is a format that enhances the cinematic experience by adding various sensory effects to complement the visuals on screen. It goes beyond standard 3D by incorporating motion seats and environmental effects like wind, water, scents, fog, and strobe lights, making the movie feel more immersive and real”. It was such a cool experience it’s almost like watching a movie on a theme park ride. Really cool. LILO and Stitch was soooooo good. It’s a great family movie. I highly recommend it. If you are looking for something to do with the kids inside to beat the heat check out this movie. You won’t regret it. It’s funny, cute, touching and very enjoyable. The snacks were ok. The best thing we had was their Jalapeno Mac and cheese bites. Really yummy and cheesy. On a side note, checkout this cool Jumbo Stitch squishmallow from Costco. The majority of restaurants that we frequent are f The majority of restaurants that we frequent are family dining restaurants. Today’s is no different, Niko Niko’s. Niko Niko’s is a Greek & American Cafe restaurant. The food was pretty good but it was the desserts that were show stoppers. Here’s what we tried: * our teenager ordered the Philly cheesesteak * I ordered the lamb shank which came work rice and a Greek salad * Our son ordered the kid’s fried fish and fries * My husband ordered the Hercules plate * The peaches and cream milkshake omg delicious. Only thing that could have made it better is fresh peaches mixed into the milk shake. * My teenager ordered a chocolate milkshakes. The milkshakes were superb. * Fragola which is a strawberry dessert with pan-cotta. Delicious. The desserts were the stars of our dining experience. The food overall was family style meals. Decent food nothing blew us away that we had but we will definitely go back and try the gyro plates or kebab something more from the Greek menu. The service was ok. A very family friendly atmosphere and establishment. But Patak’s makes a delicious sauce in the jar. Really good. For those who may not know, Butter chicken is a northern India dish that consist of a rich, tomato-based curry with chicken. Happy Memorial Day! 🇺🇸 Yesterday my crew and Happy Memorial Day! 🇺🇸 Yesterday my crew and I stopped in at Brisket and Rice. I’ve had Brisket and Rice on my list of places to visit for a while. We finally made it there yesterday. Definitely lived up to the hype. The food was exceptional. The service was really good. Here’s what we tried: * BBQ fried rice, this dish was superb! Packed with flavor. * Brisket and rice, we swapped the regular rice for fried rice. The fried rice was delicious. The brisket on top was moist and drizzled with a little bbq sauce. * My husband had the bbq pork ribs. The ribs were seasoned to perfection. The meat was so tender! Really really good! * I had the brisket. The brisket was moist and super tender. They did a great job on the meat. I love that both of their sauces paired well with the meat options. The mustard sauce had a kick. The traditional bbq sauce was tasty. * We ordered a few side dishes, macaroni and cheese, the street corn and loaded baked potato salad. All of the side dishes were delicious and tasty. Overall our dining experience was excellent. Brisket and rice had a constant flow of business the entire time we were there. She dropped the blue pair and white pairs of the exact sneakers. I knew from the beginning I had to get a pair of the blue ones for my daughter who plays H.S. basketball. Her pair was delivered this week and I have to say I love the blue ones just as much as I love my pink pair. The vibrant colors are so pretty. The different shades of blue is so pretty. After one of my workouts last week, I stopped in a After one of my workouts last week, I stopped in at the new juice bar, Juiceland. The juice bar is really cute. A Bright, vibrant and welcoming spot. But it’s not very big. I tried a few things from their menu: Strawberry Cloud which consists of strawberries, coconut, whey protein, vanilla, mace and whipped coconut. Loved the idea. Taste wise it was just ok, very one note flavor. Flavors didn’t balance well, I couldn’t taste strawberries at all. Since I had been running and it was really hot that day. I wanted a recovery drink. So I ordered the Recovery Punch watermelon, pineapple, coconut water, beet, lime, sea salt. This one was better but very gritty. I gave some grace because they’ve only been opened a few weeks. I think it was the guy making it maybe he needs more training. Ive been to lots of juice bars so I know what these drinks should taste like. The star of my visit was the Warm Oatmeal, Banana Berry Peanut Butter. Warm oatmeal topped with bananas, strawberries, peanut butter and honey. The oatmeal was excellent. Not too sweet just the right amount of sweetness. The perfect post run meal. Overall Juiceland was average. They may need to work with this staff to get the orders done correctly. The drinks need work. The flavors weren’t there and the drinks were gritty. Which typically means somethings off with the ratios. I will give them another try in the future. The atmosphere was great. The service was top notch. Our teenager had finals last Friday so she crashed Our teenager had finals last Friday so she crashed our weekly lunch date. We stopped in at a NEW spot Piada Italian Street Food. Piada Italian street food is serving up simple, fresh ingredients that’s packed with flavor. From pasta bows, to salads to piadas. The menu has curated dishes or build your own. We did build your own pasta bowls. The base of my pasta bowl was Alfredo with spaghetti, hot chicken, corn, pickled red onions, crispy bacon and cilantro. This pasta was delicious. Our teen ordered the marinara pasta with Italian sausage finished with Parmesan cheese. So good. Hubby had the Carbonara pasta with hot chicken. Don’t forget to try the lobster bisque. Really delicious but didn’t have much lobster but the flavor was there. Really good. We also tried the Piada pocket which was packed with cheese. So yummy. The food was exceptional. Customer service could use some work. The Cypress location has a drive-thru. Love!! I’ve been seeing the commercial about the NEW Me I’ve been seeing the commercial about the NEW Mexican Street Corn flavor at Wing Stop. I had to try it. The flavor is a dry rub that combines chili, garlic, and cilantro with charred notes and a touch of lime, finished with parmesan cheese. Here’s what I thought. Love the flavor. Good spice level. Tasty. Wished it was finished with little more Parmesan cheese. I have to say it was really good. I did all flats because that’s what I like. The flavor was present but it was much more prevalent on the chicken tenders. The ranch to me didn’t pair as well with that flavor. I think creating a southwest ranch would have put it over the top but that’s just my preference. But it’s definitely a flavor wings that I would order often. Add some voodoo fries and a strawberry sprite and I’m good. Happy Monday! I hope that all of the moms had an a Happy Monday! I hope that all of the moms had an amazing weekend. I had a phenomenal weekend with my family. We ate some delicious food while we were in Louisiana. I will share some details about that later this week. But I’m back to eating healthier. I have a brand new recipe I tested last week, Egg Roll in a bowl. This is a low carb meal that was delicious. Very spicy though. If you can’t tolerate spice use a different sauce.
