I am continuing our food journey in Houston, TX. As I stated in the Goode’s BBQ Blog, we were in Houston on business. We had a few meetings that afternoon so we decided to stop and grab a nice lunch.
“Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen is the largest concept in one of the largest family-owned and operated restaurant companies in the United States. The Pappas family of restaurants offers many different cuisines and traditions, but common to all is an obsession with quality food and superior service that’s reflected in every aspect of the Guest experience. Pappas is a respected leader in the competitive restaurant industry. The Pappas philosophy hasn’t changed much over the years. The drive still comes from a passion for excellence, a focus on innovation and attention to detail and quality in everything we do”.
As we walked up to the restaurant, I immediately noticed the beautiful Courtyard leading to the restaurant. Absolutely beautiful. Though it was a rainy and cold day, this view was incredible.
A stunning covered area with beautiful flowers and benches to sit.
My kids took a seat and enjoyed the gorgeous view.
After we were seated we began perusing the menu quickly. We had a meeting within an hour or so.
The waitress came to the table with some of Pappadeaux’s famous Baguette bread that is made in their own bakery. Served with butter.
We decided to try the Gulf Coast Oysters as an appetizer. The oysters were so fresh. The oyster presentation was simple yet elegant. With three different dipping sauces. A saltier taste, but very meaty. I am usually not a raw kind of girl, but these Oyster were superb.
Baby boy wanted the Chicken tenders with red beans and rice and Corn on the Cobb. As you can see he couldn’t wait for me to take the pic he was ready to eat. He was very pleased with his meal. A good option for kids.
Baby girl wanted the Grilled Shrimp with Mashed Potatoes and Steamed Broccoli. This dish was perfectly prepared. I have to say their kid’s menu was awesome. I love restaurants who puts just as much thought in the kid’s menu as the main menu. A wonderful option.
My hubby ordered the Grilled Shrimp & Andouille Sausage. This dish included red beans and rice with smoked sausage and grilled shrimp. This dish reminded us of New Orleans, LA.
A delicious dish with a nice presentation. The dish was well seasoned, a hefty portion of food. A man’s meal for sure. My husband was extremely happy with his choice.
I went with the Grilled Shrimp and Grits. Grilled Shrimp & Creamy Cheese Grits with Andouille & Sweet Corn in a spicy Creole butter. This dish was incredible. Absolutely amazing. A well balance of flavors that married well together. So good.
Overall we loved our time at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen. Pappadeaux reminded us of a New Orleans style restaurant. With menu items that are extremely popular in the Louisiana area. We felt right at home.
The service was impeccable. Our waitress was knowledgeable and informative. The food was perfectly prepared with each dish being uniquely amazing. An awesome dining experience.
