This past Sunday my crew and I stopped in at Hong Kong Food Street. Hong Kong Food Street is a Cantonese restaurant. Offering authentic dishes, including Peking duck, in Katy Asia Town.
Here’s what we tried:

* Spicy wonton
* Soft-Shell Crab Fried Rice
* Sizzling black pepper beef
* XO Wok Fried Seafood
* Young Chow Fried Rice

Top dishes the Soft Shell Crab Fried Rice, Spicy Wonton and Sizzling black pepper beef. These dishes were packed with flavor! Superb! The soft shell Crab fried rice was unique!

The service was average. Our waiter wasn’t very friendly and seemed distracted.

The restaurant decor was beautiful.

But overall the experience was pretty good. We would definitely dine again.

It’s Travel Tuesday ✈️🧳 I’m back with a reel of our Suite at Villa del Palmar. We had a 2 bedroom suite with 3 bathrooms, full kitchen, 3 patios and a living room and coffee bar area. This was one of the best suites we’ve stayed in. The room service at this resort was top notch! The food was superb. Our kids loved this suite. The patio areas were my favorite. Great views of the resort. Comfy and cozy. Full stock fridge and snacks daily. If you travel with kids, you know how important it is for them to have their own space. This suite had this. This is great choice when traveling with kids or multiple couples. This particular room was

I love a good sweet treat. Weekends are my time for a treat. Bluebell has a new flavor, Strawberry Toaster Pastry. These ice cream consist of strawberry pastry pieces, colorful confetti sprinkles, and swirls of strawberry sauce and white icing.. Topped with whipped cream and a hot strawberry pop-tart.
So here is what I thought, It’s very good. It’s a super creative flavor. But it’s not my favorite that’ve created. But a cool idea.

My crew and I went and check out the new location

My crew and I went and check out the new location for Hans. Hans Crawfish has been a favorite of ours for a few years now. They moved locations so we decided to go check it out.

My family and I arrived a little after they opened on Friday night.

Han’s is located at The Barn. There is plenty of outdoor seating but the crawfish is served out of a food truck. Their other location was definitely much better and more family friendly. But we came for the crawfish. So what was our thoughts?

The Crawfish was boiled well and easy to peel. I wish it was spicer but they had additional seasoning that I poured on top. The sides were just ok. Potatoes lacked seasoning. The coon dipping sauce wasn’t as good as I remembered. Too much mayo.
We also had shrimp and the shrimp was really food.
Overall the crawfish was pretty good. The crawfish were a really good size. The atmosphere isn’t as family friendly as the old location, but there was plenty of seating. If you like live music, The Barn has live music.

Since it’s Travel Tuesday I’m continuing my content of our trip to Cancun with Davino Italian Cuisine. Davino is located at Villa del Palmar Cancun.
This restaurant is hard to get in. I recommend booking prior to arrival. That’s what we did.
Here’s what we tried:
* Crispy Fried Squid
* Mussels Alle Vongole
* Don Pepperoni Pizza
* Fish and Polenta Chips (elegant plating)
* Lombardy Lamb
* Fettuccine Carbonara

Overall the food was just ok. There were a few items that were a hit. The Crispy Fried Squid with the tomato aioli. Superb!
Also the Chocolate brownie dessert and the tiramisu was incredible.
The service was pretty good. The restaurant itself was pretty. Love that they had a live band. Really nice. It’s also located closer to the beach than the other restaurant. Amazing views!!

I know some people like their wedge salads with blue cheese but not me I love ranch dressing.

A few Fridays ago, my husband and I stopped in at Graze. Graze in Tomball is a hidden gem.
Eat.Drink.Gather with your spouse, friends or grab lunch alone at the Bar.
The atmosphere was very homey, elevated and welcoming. I have to be honest this lunch date blew us away. The food was superb.
Here’s what we tried:
* Pink splash mocktails
* Momma’s Wild child mocktails
* Blackened shrimp
* Ahi Tuna Wontons
* Foie Gras Meatballs
* Truffle fries
* Marinade street tacos
* Mahi Mahi tacos
Overall the food was superb. The food was served popping hot. Each dish was intricately created and presented.
All of the dishes were phenomenal but if I had to choose a top dishes it would be between the ahi tuna wontons and the shrimp and grits. Honorable mention the truffle fries. These fries were delicious.
The mocktails were tasty and well balanced.
This dining experience was amazing. Our waitress was amazing.

Finally starting to organize all of my content from our trip to Cancun.
I feel like we landed back home and hit the ground running with so many events. I finally have a week to breathe and get organized.
First up is Zama Restaurant in Cancun. Located in the beautiful Villa del Palmar resort. I will share more about the resort soon.
We arrived at the Resort, checked out our suite and headed to lunch at Zama.
Zama Restaurant is a Gourmet Mexican Cuisine. The food was exceptional. The service was top notch. The patio views are 🔥.
Here’s what we tried:

* Shrimp Cocktail loved this appetizer. Tasty and I loved the plating.
* I had the Fish Tacos superb dish. Needed a little seasoning on the fish but the tacos were very good.
* Our teen had the Seafood rice. Loaded with seafood. She loved this dish.
* My husband had the soft shell crab. Really good dish. Creative and tasty. Only complaint was dish took longer than our food to come to the table. Not sure if the waiter forgot to put it in but it arrived late.
* Our son ordered the Kid’s beef tacos. Tasty tacos.
Overall the restaurant was really good. Located in the middle of the resort with gorgeous views. A great start to our vacation. Make sure you follow my @Travelwithdsf Instagram page. Weekend vibes Cajun style, Boiled Crawfish 🦞. The only way this Cajun girl knows how to do it!
We revisited Floyd’s Seafood in Cypress yesterday for lunch. Floyd’s was one of the first places we had seafood in Texas when we first moved here from Louisiana. As a Louisiana girl I have very high standards when it comes to seafood.
I have to say yesterday the food was spot on! Well seasoned, served hot and the service was some of the best we’ve had in a long time. The waiter was awesome!
Here’s what we tried:

* Fried Catfish pieces with tartar sauce and cocktail sauce. Great appetizer
* A bowl of seafood gumbo good flavor but needed a little more seasoning
* 3 lbs of spicy crawfish with potatoes, corn and sausage with their pink sauce. Delicious, boiled perfectly and well seasoned. Pink dipping sauce was superb
* My husband had the Calcasieu Flounder wild caught flounder with fresh shucked & pan-fried oysters & crawfish, served over dirty rice and topped with lemon butter. Flavorful dish.

It’s hard to believe that our baby boy is 10. Time is flying so fast. He’s maturing quickly. We love that he’s so thoughtful, kind, loving and funny.

One of our family traditions is that we have a family birthday dinner together. Even if they are having a birthday party we always have family dinner.

His dinner menu was Crawfish etouffee and fried fish. But it wasn’t just a normal crawfish etouffee and fish dinner but with lemon pepper fish with buffalo tartar sauce. This lemon pepper fish was superb. The buffalo tartar sauce really set it off. So delicious. Link in the bio for details on his birthday dinner. 👇🏽👇🏽

I ordered the build your own bowl with spicy chicken and gyro, spicy rice, lettuce, tomatoes, pickled red onions, chickpeas, jalapeños, corn and white sauce. The best one was the crème brûlée. Omg delicious. The others were good as well. I love that Half Baked Goodness has keto options. The cookies were pretty good.
