Turning 14

It’s hard to believe that our daughter is 14. OMG. Watching her grow into the young lady that she is a blessing but it makes me realize that in a few years we will be preparing  her to go to College.

One thing that we want for her is to enjoy life and live it to the fullest. Make memories, laugh a lot, make friends, hang with friends and be carefree.

I don’t talk about it much but become a parent wasn’t an easy journey for me. It was a long hard journey but I am thankful for the journey. Maybe I will share more on this in the future.

Our desire is that our kids would live a fulfilling life and that we can make many memories together. Memories that last a lifetime.

Though we love spoiling our kids, we want the memories to be the thing that we invest the most in.

This year for our daughter’s birthday she opted out of a party. She wanted a Mother/Daughter Girl’s day out. I thought it was a great idea. A day for us to hang out with our friends.

Candytopia is located in CityCentre. CityCentre is a great spot to for families to hang out and enjoy shopping, dining and much more. Want to see more about CityCentre check out these post that I’ve done.

We started the day at Candytopia. Oh man what a fun time. Candytopia is really cool. Candytopia is the ultimate, interactive Candy Wonderland.  Everything is made of candy.

Oh man. A really cool experience and SWEET time for my daughter and her friends to enjoy. They were literally like kids in a candy store.

Check out my YouTube video below for more details.

So fun!

After we finished at Candytopia we headed to do some shopping. These teenagers love to shop. LuluLemon was our first stop. Unless you have been hiding under a rock, Lululemon is the store that teens absolutely love.

This high end athletic wear store is the hot spot for teens and athletic gear lovers.

After an hour of shopping we headed to grab a quick bite to eat.

I preordered and reserved a table at Grimaldi’s. They were so accommodating. Took really good care of us. The girls loved the pizza.

I enjoyed catching up and chatting with my friends. Having moms to do life with as you raise your children is very important.

After lunch they were ready for more shopping. We headed to Kendra Scott and Altar’d State.

It was my first time at Altar’d State they have some really cute clothing for teens and adults. Love it.

Once we were done shopping we headed to grab some ice cream from Jeni’s Ice Cream. Right when we walked into the store to order, a rain storm was approaching so we took the ice cream to go.

Jeni’s has incredibly delicious ice cream. So yummy.

On a side note that Brambleberry Crisp pictured below is everything. OMG so delicious.

CityCentre is a wonderful place to hang with friends and enjoy that this lovely area has to offer.

I have to admit this was one of the more laid back birthdays, but she had a blast. Always great to hang with friends and catch up. Plus as a mom knowing and seeing how much that our girl is loved makes my heart smile.  God is good!
