The Chimes Lafayette

Recently I took a day trip to Lafayette to celebrate my birthday with my grandma. We share a birthday and I couldn’t miss celebrating with her. She’s 93, WOW! What a blessing. We checked out a brand new restaurant called The Chimes. The Chimes is popping right now. The Flats

Visiting Louisiana is always so refreshing for us. The people, the culture is so fun! We miss the friendliness of Louisiana people. Just meeting someone at random and having a big conversation like we’ve been knowing them for years.
There is no place like home. During our last visit we stopped in at a brand new restaurant called The Flats. I stumbled on this restaurant on Instagram. I saved this spot and made sure we had time to stop in for a quick lunch.

This restaurant Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill and Patio. Offering a modern, upscale twist to Creole dishes. This restaurant is serving up Louisiana classics that are elevated! This restaurant stays true to what New Orleans cuisine is all about. Ralph Brennan is the driving force behind this amazing restaurant right in the heart of downtown Disney.

Ralph Brennan is known for many restaurants but most importantly Brennan’s in New Orleans. He has been a driving force in the culinary world for years and years. It’s no surprise that this restaurant is so well done. It’s like being whisk away to French quarter New Orleans as you walk into the courtyard of the restaurant. From the jazz music to the smiling faces welcoming you in, you feel like you’re in New Orleans.
