Pasta Night with a Twist

Like most kids, my kids love Pasta. We have pasta night once a week. With this frequency, I am always trying to creating new pasta creations. This recent one might be their favorite one so far.
It’s a spicy Mexican inspired pasta dish. This dish was inspired by a new product by Sargento, their Cholula Cheese. The cheese includes a blend of cheeses, shredded queso quesadilla and asadero cheeses with hot sauce seasoning. So good.

Friday Refresher

The weekend is here. I’m looking forward to kicking back on the patio relaxing. I picked up a brand new drink from Ocean Spray, Strawberry Shortcake. I love strawberries so I couldn’t wait to try this one at home.

At home I made a nice refreshing drink for my husband and I. This drink is the best Ocean Spray drink I’ve had in a long time. So refreshing, taste and thirst quenching.

I couldn’t just make it with ice. SO I was a little fancy with it. So easy that anyone can do it.

Since Crawfish season is coming to a close, I think I will add this to Summer, my Cajun Chicken Boil. Using the same ingredients of a regular boil- potatoes, corn, sausage, onions, seafood boil seasoning- and substituting crawfish for chicken wings, along with a new product from Louisiana Fish Fry, the Cajun Drip Viet-Cajun. The Butter Seasoning Mix is available in a few other flavors such as Chili Crush and Twisted Citrus. This is the perfect boil to kick start your Summer.

We ate some delicious food while in Mexico. One of the best dishes was the Shrimp Cocktail. I loved how they switched it up.

Shrimp Cocktail is a dish I love eating at home on the back patio. It’s the perfect Spring/Summer dish. I made my own version a few weeks ago. It’s so easy and only requires a few ingredients.

Lasagna Soup Bowls

There are some evenings we return home late. Whether is because of a Basketball game or Taekwondo. Some days I need a quick meal to serve my crew. I’m not big on fast food, so I try my best to prepare something hearty and tasty at home.

Who doesn’t love a good soup. I fancied up the soup by serving the soup in a bread bowl.

H-E-B has a delicious Lasagna soup with turkey sausage. This is so easy. Heat and serve in a garlic butter bowl.
