It’s mid January and most people are hitting it hard with eating healthy and exercise. Recently, I had the opportunity to try Snap Kitchen. When I was contacted about this, I was stoked because it was perfect timing to kick off the new year.
For those who may not know, Snap Kitchen offers dishes that are made fresh. Dishes created by Chefs using high quality ingredients.
I decided to place my order via the app. The app is so cool, easy to navigate with pics of each dish. A quick and easy way to order.
I hopped in my car and headed to pick up my order. Before I arrived, I received an email saying that the order was ready to pick up.
I am closer to the new Katy Greenhouse location.
Here are a few of the items I ordered Turkey Chili with beans, Spaghetti Turkey Bolognese, Romesco Chicken, Egg, Brisket Tacos, Blueberry Muffin, Primal Beef Thins.
I will discuss more about these dishes later.
When I arrived at the location, the lady working asked my name and had my order ready.
I decided to browse the shelves. The Shelves are organized by Breakfast, Salads, Sides, Lunch and Dinner, Snacks and Drinks. Perfectly organized.
I am not much of a breakfast eater, so I love that Snap Kitchen also offers Fresh Juices. I will say I had a few breakfast items and they were delicious.
The breakfast platter was my favorite breakfast. This dish included eggs, pork sausage and cheesy rice cauliflower. So good.
The entrees that I loved was the Romesco Chicken and the Crispy Salmon.
The Crispy Salmon included an almond-crusted salmon cooked to perfection and paired with carrots and zucchini. This dish was amazing. A healthy dish that was similar to a fried fish without all of the grease and calories.
The Romesco Chicken was superb. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pics of this one. The dish is made with a house-made Romesco sauce with chicken and veggies. A Spanish twist to a classic dish. Incredible.
I ended up picking up a few more items in addition to what I pre-ordered.
Shrimp Scampi, Veggies and Hummus, Chomps Beef, Breakfast Platter and Moon Cheese.
One of the other things I love about Snap Kitchen is that they can deliver your order right to your doorstep! Hello, how convenient is that?
Some of the other things we loved were the snack options.
Some of the choices were the Chomps Beef Jerky, The Lesser Evil Paleo Chips, Moon Cheese and The New Primal Beef Thins.
The beef thins are similar to a jerky that is thinly sliced and made with grass-fed beef, organic coconut aminos, garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt. Really good.
Overall, Snap Kitchen was very impressive. I have to be honest, I was worried that the dishes would lack flavors. But this wasn’t the case. I didn’t love everything I had but there were a lot of dishes that I was blown away by.
I love that they offer different items in each category. So if you are wanting to go all healthy this spot can help you in every area including drinks and snacks. Price wise I think it was reasonably priced.
I don’t feel it is good for a family of 4 like mine only because I have children. My kids wouldn’t eat many of the meals. But it was perfect for my husband and I at home and as well as for meal prep for work. If you want to meal prep this is a good way to go.
Portion control, reasonably priced and dishes that are creative meals, drinks, snacks and sides.
