Yesterday I went for a morning walk. It was a gorgeous day. The sun was shining, the air was fresh and there was a breeze out. I was walking, I had my music playing in my air pods and I was grooving on a perfect Texas morning.
While I was walking I began to notice many spider webs. Yes, I’ve seen spider webs before but for some reason the webs kept catching my attention.
There were massive amounts of spider webs alone the paths during my entire walk.
God spoke to me Webs of Entanglement. Hmmm.. I said to myself. I immediately knew that this was the topic I needed to share for my weekly Wednesday Wisdom.
The root word of Entanglement is Entangle. Entangle means to be caught into something; in a perplexed or bad situation, to wrap or twist together.
Back to the spider webs. Spiders used their webs to trap prey. Prey meaning their supper, dinner, lunch, breakfast. Once they have the prey trapped, they use their poison to kill their prey.
What are you Entangled in today?
Is it a bad relationship, friendship, drugs, alcohol, anger, sexual sins, adultery, gossip, fornication? Whatever it is the devil desires to entangle you in that sin to prevent you from reaching your destiny.
As you are entangled, he begins to feed you his poison, lies and untruth. The devil uses the person or thing being used to trap you from reaching your destiny.
We all face something or deal with something that tries to entangle us, but it’s up to us to use the word of God to fight against entanglement.
Hebrews 4:12 says, For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword.. Allow the word of God to cut you out of those Webs of Entanglement.
Speak God’s word over your situation and build up the faith and courage to break through and away from those Webs of Entanglement.
Don’t remain entangled all your life. I don’t care if it’s a generational thing. If your mom was like that, your dad, your aunt or uncle. God is greater than anything that will hold you back!
