Pressing Through the Fog
Fog is something that’s no fun to drive or fly in. Sometimes the fog is so thick you can’t see what’s in front of you. You have to proceed with caution.
That’s how life is. Sometimes we approach points in our lives where the road is just foggy!
You are feeling your way as you walk through. Not by your natural emotions but spiritual guidance that only God can give you to help you navigate through the fog.
“I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh” Galatians 5:16 NKJV).
Ever been in a point of fog where you just want to turn around? Life can be like that. You just want to fall right in the spot that you are and not move until the situation clears. Or turn back and go to the place you were most comfortable. Your safe place.
But you have to put on your spiritual binoculars and walk as God reveals each step. Step as he says step, go forward, go left or back up!
He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it” (Luke 11:28 NIV).
He sees the potential danger in our path and/or that it’s not time yet. That’s why it’s imperative to listen effectively to make sure you are going in the right direction.
Here are a few nuggets to help you as you are walking through the Fogginess of Life:
- F – Faith – Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
- O – Obey – “Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching.’” John 14:23
- G – Gratefulness – “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you” (I Thessolonians 5:18 KJV).
Father, today I pray that our spiritual goggles will help us navigate through the fog in our life! In Jesus name!
