Dining out is one of our favorite things to do as a family. We love going out to eat, but right now as a family we support local restaurants by ordering food to go. With Covid-19 steadily rising in the state of Texas, we aren’t quite ready to dine out just yet.

We were returning from one of our recent Beach Trips and we decided to stop and check out a newly opened restaurant in Cypress, Duck n Bao.

Duck n Bao is currently only opened for to go orders so this was a perfect option.

Our family loves dumplings and they were on our route home.

Duck n Bao who specializes in Soup dumplings, Peking Duck and much more. Everything is made to order. The Chef has over 20 years experience. Serving up classic dishes from China.

The ordering process was so easy. I ordered online. We called when we arrived and let them know that we were there.

Here are the dishes that we ordered the Pork Soup Dumplings, Dumpling Noodle Beef Bao,  Pan fried Pork Dumpling, Orange Chicken and Spicy Shrimp with Crispy Rice.

Pictured is the Pork Soup Dumpling. The dumplings were filled with ground pork and a very flavorful soup broth. So good.

The Dumpling Noodle Beef Bao was different. Filled with something similar to a meatball in texture and the dumpling was wrapped around it. You could cut the Bao in half and see the meat mixture, this reminded me of a Stuffed bread. A Bao is steamed buns for those who don’t know. Delicious.

The Pan Fried Dumpling was a traditional dumpling. Filled with pork and pan fried. My kids absolute favorite kind of dumplings.

Orange Chicken is one of our go to dishes from any restaurant that serves Chinese dishes. Fun fact Orange Chicken is not a traditional Chinese dish. It’s an Americanize Chinese dish. But we absolutely love it. Citrus with a good balance of heat over rice. Yum.

Now for the best dish of the night, the Spicy Shrimp with Crispy Rice. OH my word! This dish was phenomenal. But disclaimer, IT’S Spicy!! This dish consisted of Fried Shrimp that was spicy with Crispy rice that was similar to a savory Rice Krispy.

This dish was super spicy. But the ingredients really worked well together.  A good balance of flavors.

Take out from Duck n Bao was easy to do online. The service was good. The food was packaged perfectly. Everything was in the bag.

The food was fresh, delicious, well seasoned. We absolutely enjoyed the food. Duck n Bao will definitely be a place we frequent often.
