Yesterday was such a gorgeous day. It was too pretty to be inside, so we decided to take the kids for a ride and pickup Snoballs and Crawfish from Crawfish Boss.

I pass by Crawfish Boss daily. The line for Crawfish Boss starts forming about 1:35 and they don’t open until 2. Everytime I passed by, I was shocked to see the line, but for a line to be as long as it was everyday before they opened, the Snoballs must be good.

Crawfish Boss is a family owned and operated Drive Thru Snoballs and Crawfish Stand.

When we first drove up to Crawfish Boss, there was about 5-7 cars in line ahead of us. We looked through the menu prior to arriving at the drive thru and we knew exactly what we were going to order.

Crawfish Boss offers about 28 different flavors of Snoballs with a variety of toppings including fresh fruit, condensed milk, cream, gummies, whipped cream and sour patches. The Snoballs are available in 3 sizes, Regular, Large and X-Large.

My husband ordered the Loaded Blackberry Cheesecake. Blackberry Snoball with cheesecake chunks inside and topped  with cheesecake, fresh blackberries and condensed milk. OMG!! He absolutely loved the Snoball. His exact words were, “A marriage made in Acadiana”. So good.

Baby girl ordered the Nectar Punch topped with gummi bears and sour punch straws. A colorful creation just for the kids. A Tasty and Fruity Snoball. There was no kids size which might be a good idea. The Regular is a bit large for kids.

I ordered the Strawberry Cheesecake. WOWZERS.. This Snoball was the best Snoball that I have had ever. The addition of the cheesecake was a nice twist. At first, I wasn’t sure if I would like the Snoball because of the different textures, but it worked! A great creation!

With Summer around the corner I suspect that the lines will only become longer but the lines move fairly quickly.

Crawfish Boss also serves Shrimp in addition to the Crawfish. The Boss Box included 3 #LBS of Crawfish and a 1/2 LB of Shrimp plus a drink for $19.99. Their specials included 10 #LBS of Crawfish with 4 potatoes and 2 corns with $39.99. Or 10 #LBS of Crawfish or 1 #LB of Shrimp with 6 potatoes and 3 corns with 2 drinks.

Add Ins for the Seafood included Boss Sauce, Potatoes, Corn, Onion, Mushroom or Sausage. Crawfish Boss also serves Tea and Lemonade by the Gallon.

We ordered 10 #LBS of Crawfish with sausage, potatoes and corn. The Crawfish had an incredible aroma when we opened the bag. Minced garlic and spices filled the air. The minced garlic was a nice touch.

The crawfish was a beautiful color and ready to eat. We set up our table outside on our back patio.  We were disappointed to find out that the Boss Sauce was not placed in the bag with the order.

We were very disappointed that we would have to make our own sauce since we paid for sauce. But I want to say that I called Crawfish Boss and they offered us to either come back and pick up the sauce or they would save a credit for us the next time we came back.

I appreciate the fact that they offered a credit to make it right.

Overall Crawfish Boss absolutely exceeded our expectations. The Snoballs were amazing in every way. There are so many combinations of Snoballs that you can try a different one each time you go and never get bored with the same old flavors.

The Crawfish was well seasoned and large in size. Some of the best Crawfish I’ve had this season. The potatoes and corn were boiled well. Crawfish Boss served two different types of potatoes red and the regular potatoes. The corn was spicy and tender.

The Snoballs and Crawfish absolutely lived up to the hype. My only suggestion would be to have a few tables maybe off to the side for customers who may want to eat their Crawfish and Snoballs on the premises. But that’s my only suggestion.

We are excited that we had the opportunity to try Crawfish Boss. It was our first time but it won’t be our last.

  1. YES!! They should have tables! I have gone twice. Once I waited in the 45min line to get the snowball… the next time we ordered crawfish so we could skip the line… and get snowballs too! These guys are awesome and very creative!!
