Walk-On’s Is Giving Away Tickets To The National Championship

BATON ROUGE (Dec. 21, 2017) – Walk-On’s Independence Bowl is just one week away and title sponsor Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar is going all out for game day.

On Wednesday, Dec. 27, football fans should make their way to one of Walk-On’s 16 locations for a game day experience unlike any other. The Baton Rouge-based brand is giving away a National Championship VIP package that includes two tickets, airfare and hotel for the game on Jan. 8, 2018 in Atlanta, Ga. 

Enter to win by taking a picture with a Walk-On’s Game Day Indy Bowl cup or Indy Bowl kid’s cup in one of the restaurants. Post the picture on a personal social media account on Dec. 27, between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m., and tag Walk-On’s. The winner will be announced on Walk-On’s social media pages on Dec. 28.

The game day specials don’t stop there. The first 100 dine-in customers at each Walk-On’s location on Dec. 27 will receive a free limited edition Independence Bowl T-shirt.

Also on Wednesday, Walk-On’s All-American team will be serving up happy hour specials that’ll make guests want to do a touchdown dance. From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., chow down on:

  • $5 cheese fries
  • $5 cheeseburger sliders
  • $5 classic burger

Adults can wash down their cheeseburger sliders with these winning drink specials:

  • $2 domestic bottles and drafts
  • $3 off all signature drinks
  • Two-for-one house wine

The 2017 Walk-On’s Independence Bowl is scheduled for a 12:30 p.m. kickoff on Wednesday, Dec. 27, at Independence Stadium in Shreveport.

Walk-On’s now has 16 locations: four in Baton Rouge, two in New Orleans and one each in Lafayette, Houma, Shreveport, Lake Charles, Covington, Broussard and Bossier City, La., and Lubbock, San Antonio and Tyler, Texas. Other locations are coming soon in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas, with several additional markets across the Southern U.S. likewise on the drawing board.
