I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is less than 2 weeks away. The time is flying by a little too fast. The holidays will look different to many of us this year because of Covid. Many of us won’t be traveling for the holidays.
But that doesn’t mean we won’t have a good food spread even if it’s just our immediate family this year.
For us desserts are just as important for our Thanksgiving menu as the Turkey and Rice Dressing etc..
We love Cakes, Cupcakes and Pies. Last year I featured a few Pie companies that we tried, Flying saucer , House of Pies.
Today, I am featuring Proud Pie Coffee Shop & Bakery. Proud Pie is a coffee shop and artisan bakery. Proud Pie serves house made pies with local ingredients, coffee and other baked goods.
My family and I took a ride to Katy, TX to pick up pies to go.
I ordered the pies online and picked the pies up curbside. The process was so quick and easy. We called the number when we arrived that was provided and a sweet girl delivered our pies to the car.
Proud Pie has about 10 – 14 pie options. Options like Pierhouse Key lime, Zach’s Bananas Foster, Snickerdoodle Peach pie, State Fair Caramel Apple and Wonkaberry Buttercrust pie just to name a few.
We decided to order the Sampler of Pies. The Sampler included 6 slices of pies. The flavors included Caramel Apple, Michigan Cherry, Bourbon Pecan, Miss Daisy’s Fudge, Ghiradelli Chocolate and Silky Key Lime.
The pies were packaged in their own packages. The bag included napkins and utensils. Which was perfect for us to eat at the park.
The day was gorgeous and the weather was cool, so we headed to one of the parks in our neighborhood.
Here are the pies:
Miss Daisy’s Rich Fudge, this pie was extra chocolatey. This is the one my daughter chose and she loved it.
Ghirardelli Chocolate Silk, this pie was also chocolate but topped with whipped cream and chocolate crumbles. My son loved the creaminess of this pie.
Pierhouse Key lime pie, this pie had the right amount of tartness which was balanced with the perfect amount of whipped cream and graham crackers. This key lime pie was superb. My husband loves Key lime pies and he was very impressed.
State Fair Caramel Apple, this pie was made with Fuji apples and cinnamon. Topped with the Dutch Crumble and Butter Crumble. This pie was delicious. I recommend heating it in the microwave and top with ice cream for a little over the top deliciousness!
Bourbon Pecan butter pecan pie with a bourbon. The pie does not include alcohol. The flavors balanced so well together. Really good.
Cherry Crumble, the Michigan cherry pie was so good. We didn’t eat until a few days later and I totally forgot to photograph it. A really good pie.
Overall Proud Pie was very impressive. The pies were fresh, tasty, great balance of flavors and nicely packaged.
I love that the slice pies were individual packaged. Proud Pies also has whole pies for those who want to order a whole pie for Thanksgiving.
In addition, Proud Pie also serves delicious sandwiches, cold and hot beverages with lots of options to choose from and quiche.
We will be ordering Proud Pie slices of Pies for Thanksgiving. Their pies are perfect because it’s individually sliced which is perfect for the Holidays.
