Today is National Coffee Day.  Most of us enjoy our coffee the normal traditional way, coffee with creamer and sugar.

But there is still a low percentage of people who are not coffee drinkers. This recipe is just for you, a dessert with coffee.

I have created my version of something called an affogato, which is a dessert that includes coffee. A sweet treat to eat instead of drinking.

This dessert is quite simple. Below are a few ingredients that I used. I have a few different varieties of this affogato, but this is the most simple one.

An affogato is basically made with ice cream, coffee and your toppings of choice, like chocolate, nuts or whipped cream.

My recipe includes 4 simple ingredients:

  • Coffee
  • Creamer
  • Ice cream – Bluebell Coffee flavored
  • Caramel Sauce

First you brew your coffee. I used a k-cup, cafe special.

I used a dessert glass. I took the Torani caramel sauce and drizzled the sauce on the dessert mug.

Next add 2 scoops of ice cream. I used the Coffee Bluebell Ice Cream since it is National Coffee Day.  Any kind of ice cream can be used, I like to play around with different flavored ice cream and toppings.

Add the coffee, your desired strength or amount. I used about 2 oz. If you want the dessert stronger, add more.

Then add 3 tablespoons of the International Delight Amaretto Creamer.

Add another scoop of ice cream.

Finish with caramel drizzle on top.

Super easy to do.
