It’s Summer time! I know like most parents, we are in search of fun things to do with our kids! As much as we love technology, we don’t like our kiddos spending the whole day on computers, laptops, gaming systems and IPads.

So going outdoors and finding fun things to do with our kids is crucial.

Being new to the area we are loving exploring new parks and places to go together. We stumbled upon a really cool park, LEVY PARK.

Levy Park is an urban space with vibrant colors.

The park has features that include activity areas, a dog park, a community garden, the Children’s Park, and beautiful landscaping.

The park also offers many passive and active programming in wellness, the arts, education, and recreation.

While we were there, a Yoga class was in full effect.

One of the cool things about Levy Park is that they offer movie nights. Visit their website for more details on events hosted by Levy Park check out their website. https://www.levyparkhouston.org/calendar/

There is a  water feature that is perfect for the kids to run around in, but we didn’t have swim clothes so we passed on this.  But a nice feature.

There was an area for building using over-sized building pieces which was a favorite for our little man. He absolutely loved it. Both kids loved the building in the area.

Levy Park also has an area for reading. You can choose a book from their library to read. How awesome for the readers out there.

There were also sections for climbing.

Sections that had a place to slide.

And rock climbing walls.

Levy Park has a ton of green space. Plenty of room for the kiddos to run around and have a blast.

Bring lunch and have a picnic with your family. On a gorgeous day, this is the place to be!

Levy Park is located at 3801 Eastside Street, Houston, TX 77098.
