Italian Meatball Sub

I love a good Hot Sub sandwich. This Italian Meatball Sandwich is so easy. One of the best Quick meals that your kids will love. The meatballs were cooked in my Air Fryer. So easy.

Ingredients
  

  • Pam Olive Oil Spray
  • Bitelet Pan
  • 1 palm Fresh Basil Chiffonade Cut Generous amount for Garnish
  • 1/2 White onion Diced
  • 1/2 Green Bell Pepper Diced
  • 2 - 3 Peeled Garlic Cloves Minced or Pressed
  • 12 Italian Style Spicy Pork Meatballs
  • 24 oz Bertolli Olive Oil, Basil, Garlic
  • Sliced Provolone Cheese Desired amount
  • Italian Style Shredded Fancy Parmesan Cheese
  • 6 Pepperidge Farms Hoagie Buns
  • olive oil
  • 1 - 2 tsp Italian Seasoning Season to taste
  • 4 - 5 leaves Basil Add desired amount to taste

Italian Meatball Sub

Ingredients:
  • Italian Style Spicy Pork Meatballs
  • Peeled Garlic Cloves
  • White Onion
  • Green Bell Peppers
  • Fresh Basil
  • Sliced Provolone Cheese
  • Fancy Shredded Italian Parmesan Cheese
  • Organic Olive Oil, Basil and Garlic Sauce
  • Pepperidge Farm Soft Hoagie Rolls
  • Olive Oil
  • Italian Seasoning

Directions:
  1. Preheat your Air Fryer.
  2. Mince or Dice the Garlic. Set aside.
  3. Dice the onions and bell peppers. Set aside.
  4. Spray the Bitelet pan with Olive Oil spray.
  5. Add the meatballs to the Bitelet pan.
  6. Set Air Fryer to 350 degrees for 10 - 12 minutes.
  7. Add olive oil to the pot or skillet. Heat.
  8. Add the onions and bell peppers. Saute. 2 - 4 minutes.
  9. Add the garlic. Stir. About 1 minute.  Don't burn.
  10. Add the Sauce. Stir. Cook on medium to low heat.
  11. Add the Italian Seasoning. Stir.
  12. Add fresh Basil. Desired amount.
  13. Cook for about 5 minutes. Low heat.
  14. Add meatballs once they are cooked. Toss in the sauce. Cook for 2 - 3 minutes.
  15. Toast the Hoagie Bread in a convection oven or in the oven. You want the bread to have a little crispiness. The bread will hold up better to the sauce and cheese.
  16. Add the sliced cheese. Melt 1 minute in the oven.
  17. Top with the sauce.
  18. Add meatballs.
  19. Top with Shredded Italian parmesan.
  20. Garnish with Chiffonade Basil.
  21. Enjoy. YUM!
