Logan’s Roadhouse has been around for years, but I would be amiss if I didn’t do a blog post about Logan’s. This is one of the restaurants that I love to eat out at every so often. Oddly enough it is becoming a place that I have lunch with two of my favorite people. We just seem to always meet there for lunch. We’ve had lunch at Logan’s at least 4 times in the last two months.

Logan’s is probably most known for the complimentary bread and peanuts. Logan’s has the best bread in the city. Picture perfect & mouth watering bread is a must have at Logan’s. The bread is a made from scratch, yeast roll. The best!!

There is also complimentary peanuts. For those who may have never been to Logan’s. The peanuts are served in a tin can. Very cool idea. The peanut shells can be tossed on the floor if you like. For the neat freaks this may be aggreviating. But Logan’s is a very relaxed environment. A come as you are type atmosphere. Whether you want to dress up or wear your best, Logan’s is a great choice.

My friends always order the same thing every time we go. Lol.. I was compelled to find out why they would order the same thing every single time. So I decided to try “The Kickin’ Chicken Logan’s Salad the last time we went.

Kickin’ Chicken Logan’s Salad is a blackened chicken served on a bed of romaine lettuce, topped with tomatoes, shredded cheese, roasted corn and black bean salsa tossed with spicy roadhouse Ranch & crispy tortillas.

The Kickin’ Logan’s Chicken Salad was fresh and very delicious. It was a very colorful salad and had great flavors. When I ordered it, I topped it with bacon and sliced eggs. This is a salad that you must try. I highly recommend it. I will say, I see why they can’t get enough of it. A very tantalizing salad, you won’t be disappointed.

This time around I didn’t have the salad because I wanted seafood. I decided on the Sante Fe Tilapa. Omg, this was a great dish. The Tilapa is a little on the spicy side, but I enjoyed the dish. The Sante Fe Tilapa was seasoned and grilled to perfection, topped with a roasted corn and black bean salsa.

There is a cilantro & chipotle sauce that is served on the side with the fish or you can have it on top. The chipotle and cilantro compliment the Tilapa very nicely. The entree came with two sides. I ordered the grilled vegetable skewer. The grilled vegetable skewer included mushroom, zucchini & tomatoes seasoned with spices. The vegetable skewer had well balanced flavors. The vegetables were not overcooked & mushy, but the veggies were still crispy, but cooked just enough without overcooking the veggies. The skewer is one of my favorite things to eat at Logan’s. I also had a loaded baked potato. The potato is served with your typical toppings butter, sour cream, cheese, chives and bacon bits.

Overall, both dishes were amazing. Great atmosphere, delicious food, no wait at lunch time & don’t forget they have pretty good strawberry lemonade!  FYI Logan’s does offer a few gluten free menu options.
