The past few months have been filled with Birthday Celebrations. Our friend Tara celebrated her birthday a couple of weeks ago. The ladies and I were anticipating this birthday dinner at Marcello’s. We arrived a few minutes early, but we were seated fairly quickly.
This was my first time at the Marcello’s. I am always excited to eat at restaurants that I have never had before. Marcello’s has been around for quite some time. But we have never made our way there, but tonight was the night.
I had heard amazing things about this restaurant, so I was super excited to enjoy the food and hang out with friends.
The ladies and I went to chatting, catching up on everything. Well about 7:15 we started to worry, because Tara hadn’t arrived yet. Immediately someone started texting and calling to make sure she was ok. In a few minutes we reached her. The funny thing was that she was at home cooking dinner with her family. Kmsl.
While we were waiting for Tara to arrive, we enjoyed the delicious bread with fresh garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and fresh parmesan mixture. The best in town. The bread was nice and hot when it arrived on our table.
This blog will not include as many pictures as usual, because most of us ordered the exact same thing. Below is my dinner the Spaghetti and Meatballs. This was one of the best Spaghetti and Meatballs I have had. The sauce was a rich tomato sauce, a special Gene’s family recipe. The Meatballs were a great size. The meatballs were packed with flavor, moist and absolutely delicious. So good. The dish was topped with Parmesan and parsley.
Pictured below is the Spaghetti Bolognese with Meatballs. The sauce is a slow cooked meat sauce. It does not come with the meatballs but my friend added meatballs to her dish. The Bolognese sauce looked awesome. She said it was delicious. The dish was topped with fresh Parmesan and parsley.
Most dishes are available in 2 sizes, lunch or dinner portions. We all ordered the lunch portions, which was more than enough.
Marcello’s has a really good selection of menu options. Items like Seafood, Lamb and Steak Dishes. It may be an Italian restaurant but there is something for everyone. One of the dishes I would love to try is the Lamb Ragu. Lamb is one of my favorite meats.
My husband and I are planning to dine there soon for a Date Night. Great service, delicious food and a great environment. We did not try any dessert, because we had other plans for Dessert. But there were a few different options for dessert, Cheesecake, bread pudding and a few others.
I loved the barrels on the wall. The barrels can be signed by the guest before leaving. Cool idea.
Marcello’s is located at 340 Kaliste Saloom, Suite C. The hours of operation is Monday-Saturday. They are also open for lunch Monday-Friday from 11 am- 2:30 pm and at night from 5:00 pm – 9:30 pm.
We had a great time for Dinner. No complaints about anything that night. A great choice!
