Chicken Salad Chick is the newest casual dining spot in Lafayette. Offering 15 different Chicken Salad options. This new restaurant offers some of the most creative chicken salad flavors of the South. A healthy alternative to the typical fast food options.
The hubby and I decided to attend the grand opening and make it into our weekly lunch date. He loves enjoying new restaurants with me and I enjoy being able to share those experiences with him.
Walking into the door, the restaurant was bright and colorful. Very warm and inviting. Fun colors, classy decorations and lighting.
The dining room offered many different areas and styles of seating.
For the Grand Opening, there were balloons placed through out the restaurant.
The wall as you walk in was filled with news about Chicken Salad Chick and all the accolades achieved by Chicken Salad Chick.
We were offered the Classic Carol Chicken Salad to try while waiting in line. The classic carol is the original chicken salad that started it all. The classic was really good. A simple recipe, but very tasty.
The line was a little long, but moved really quickly. We were greeted as we approached the register by the sweetest blonde hair lady. She began discussing the menu with us and making suggestions about what we should try. We told her our choices and she approved.
We didn’t realize who she was until we sat down and started reading the back story. Stacy Brown is the founder and VP of Brand Development. She has such an amazing story and a testimony of dreams do come true. Mrs. Stacy was so sweet and down to earth. It was a pleasure to meet her.
I ordered the Gourmet Chick which includes a scoop of your choice of Chicken Salad, 2 sides, a spear pickle and a cookie. My chicken salad choice was the Jazzy Julie.The Jazzy Julie included chicken with a mixture of cayenne, bacon, and cheddar cheese. The chicken salad was oh so good!! A little spicy but I absolutely loved the chicken salad. Some of the best chicken salad that I have ever had.
The sides I choose were the pasta salad and the grape salad. The pasta salad pictured above is the tricolor rotini pasta, in an Italian based dressing with feta and parmesan cheese with olives and artichokes. Tangy and delicious.
Above is the grape salad, red and white seedless grapes covered in a sweet cream cheese topped with brown sugar and pecans. Omg!!!! This grape salad was superb. I have never had the grape salad with brown sugar. The brown sugar added something different to the fruit salad. So good.
Let’s talk about the cookies for a minute. The cookie of the day was the Snickerdoodle. The cookies were fresh, soft and extremely tasty. I was impressed that the cookies are so good.
We also tried the soup of the day, the Chicken Tortilla Soup. Typical ingredients of a Tortilla Soup with chunks of chicken. The Soup was pretty good. Each day there is a different soup. As you can see below the list of soups for the week.
Hubby ordered the Original Chick. The Original Chick included the Choice of a Sandwich, one side item, a pickle spear and the cookie of the day.
The sandwich was the Olivia’s Old South. The Olivia’s included eggs and pickles to the chicken salad. Very good sandwich with lettuce and tomatoes. You have the choice of white, wheat bread or a croissants.
His side was the broccoli salad, which included fresh broccoli tossed in a sweet vinegar based dressing with shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese topped with bacon. A great healthy side option.
Chicken Salad Chick also provides Deli Sandwiches for those who may not like or desire chicken salad. Options Turkey, Roast Beef, Ham or Pimento Cheese.
For kids the deli sandwiches are a good option. Turkey and cheese with fruit salad and juice box. A kid friendly environment as well.

While we were waiting for our meal, a lady came in with a big order and she had a baby with her. One of the workers gladly helped her carry all of our items to the car. I love restaurants who are willing to help service moms and help them out. A good quality in my eyes.

Overall we absolutely loved Chicken Salad Chick. A great location, delicious food, several options to choose from. A beautiful restaurant and amazing customer service. Can’t ask for much more.

HI: Ate in your Orlando location, loved it, told my friends, but not seeing any close by. I’m in South Fla, I see one in Coral Springs, but that’s about 45 min away, any plans to open more in South Florida.
