Anyone who knows me, knows that I love cupcakes. Cupcakes are one of my favorite desserts.
Recently I ran across this beautifully crafted cupcake on Instagram. I did some research and decided to seek out and find the owner, Julia Nan.
I saw that she was located very close to where I live. I didn’t realize that her boutique was only by appointment.
Our initial meeting was quite interesting and very funny thinking of it now. But anyways, the cupcakes that I will be showcasing were created by the owner of Nannie Pearl.
Nannie Pearl Boutique Specializes in gourmet cupcakes, accessories, jewelry and unique items.
Nannie Pearl’s concept combines cupcakes and jewelry shopping all in one place.
The name Nannie Pearl was Julia Nan’s great grandmother’s name. Nannie was both stylish and quirky. Each product designed is created with Nannie Pearl in mind.
Nannie Pearl also owned a cafe in New Albany, Mississippi. She was known for her famous coconut cake and peach cobbler.
She wore over the fabulous hats and over the top hats. This is represented by the Nannie Pearl owner as well in each of her handcraft items.
I tried the French Toast Cupcake. The smell was was incredible. A cinnamon rum cupcake topped with maple bourbon buttercream and topped with bacon. First of all you can never go wrong with bacon. The cupcake was tasty and extremely moist. The bacon added a great element to the cupcake. The salty and sweet cupcake was so good. Garnished with gold flakes. The icing wasn’t overly sweet. Really good cupcake.
I also tried the S’mores Cupcake. The cupcake was a chocolate cupcake with hershey buttercream icing. Topped with hershey chocolate and a graham cracker. A good flavor combination.
