I am so excited to be sharing this blog.  Last week we officially closed on our new home. The plan when we officially moved here 10 months ago was to buy a home as soon as we arrived.  It didn’t work out as planned, but boy am I glad that it didn’t.

Our decision to lease a home first wasn’t what we wanted but was certainly what we needed to do. This gave us time to get familiar with the area. Decided what neighborhood we wanted to live in and learn more about the real estate market here.

We officially moved in our home on Saturday. After countless months, hours and days of house hunting we found the home of our dreams.

We are so thankful for God’s favor. For a minute we didn’t think we would find the home we desired with the things we wanted, in the price range we wanted and in the area we desired.

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (Hebrews 11:6 KJV) .

We kept believing and trusted God’s timing. Not settling for anything but God’s best for us.

Once we found the home we desired. God gave us the green light to move forward. Prayed about it and He gave us complete favor and the negotiations went smoothly.

Our closing was the smoothest that we’ve had thus far.

Let me take a moment to brag on our real estate agent, Lisa Kolodziej. We have been house hunting with her for over a year. Even when we stopped hunting because of our home sale delay in Louisiana she stayed in contact with us.

Once we were ready to start up again she was there. An amazing realtor who is not only a friend to us but like family now. If you are in the Houston area and need a realtor, she’s the one.

She makes you feel comfortable. I love that she’s informative about each property and that she will be super honest about everything. I love that.

Finally, official roots in the Houston area, Houstonians officially.

Special thank you to our family and friends who prayed for us as we were searching and waiting on this season.

Prayer works no matter what the situation that you are facing. Never doubt that you can go to God for whatever the need. Big or small, He’s listening and at work for us! “The effectual prayer of the righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16 KJV).

Happy Wednesday!
