Lazy Dog has been the talk among some of my fellow foodies for a few months. I finally had the opportunity to check out the restaurant and see what the talk was all about.
Lazy Dog is a casual dining restaurant serving up hand-crafted American food with fresh ingredients.
Global comfort food like chicken dishes, pot roast and pastas in a relaxed, lodge-chic atmosphere.
My mom and I were seated immediately and our waiter arrived as we were seated. A very knowledgeable and informative waiter.
We tried a few of their specialty sodas.
My mom had the Cucumber Thyme Lemonade. The drink was made with fresh cucumber, lemon, house made sweet + sour, sugarcane, fresh thyme sprig, soda. Very refreshing.
I had the Strawberry Citrus Soda. Made with fresh-squeezed lemon, orange and lime juices, strawberries, mint, soda. This drink was yummy. A fruity concoction that worked well together.
Before coming to Lazy Dog, I heard a lot about the Crispy Deviled Eggs. Visually a stunning plate of food. The eggs were lightly fried, topped with smoked paprika and bacon candy. Served on a bed of greens. Perfection on a plate. A unique dish.
My mom ordered the BBQ Bison Meatloaf. All-natural Durham Ranch grass-raised Wyoming bison, smoked bacon, red skin potato mash, sautéed spinach, haystack onions.
Oh my word this dish was superb. What a way to elevate a meatloaf! Visually stunning dish as well. The flavors and textures on the plate were superb!
I ordered the Fried Chicken Dinner. A hand-dipped buttermilk boneless chicken breast, red skin potato mash, white gravy, spiced maple syrup, spinach. Crispy goodness.
The presentation was spot on. I loved that I could control how much of the white gravy that I put on top, because it was served on the side in a cute canister. The chicken was fried perfectly. The Spiced maple syrup was a nice addition to the dish.
The sautéed spinach with bacon bits was nice with the dish as well.
The atmosphere at Lazy Dog is nice. I love the cabin look of the restaurant. Very cozy. I can’t wait till it turns cold so I can go and enjoy a nice warm bowl of goodness.
In addition to indoor seating, they also have an excellent patio area for outdoor dining.
Overall, the food was on point. The dishes were uniquely designed and served with excellence. Presentation of every dish was flawless.
My mom and I were served with the best service. The menu was very extensive which I loved. There was a good variety of items to chose from.
I loved Lazy Dog so much, I can’t wait to take my husband and kiddos to try out some of the other dishes that Lazy Dog has to offer.
