Like most kids, my kids love Pasta. We have pasta night once a week. With this frequency, I am always trying to creating new pasta creations. This recent one might be their favorite one so far.
It’s a spicy Mexican inspired pasta dish. This dish was inspired by a new product by Sargento, their Cholula Cheese. The cheese includes a blend of cheeses, shredded queso quesadilla and asadero cheeses with hot sauce seasoning. So good.
Spicy Mexican Inspired Pasta
Ingredients:
- Alfredo Sauce (2 jars, 15 oz each)
- Taco Seasoning (hot & spicy, 1 packet)
- Ground Beef 1 lb
- Spaghetti noodles
- Sargento Cholula Cheese (desired amount)
- Cherry tomatoes (Sliced or diced)
- Cholula Hot Sauce (optional if you don’t like too much spice)
- Dry Parsley flakes (garnish)
- Olive oil (2-3 tbsp)
Directions:
- Add a pot of water to the stove top. Once the water is boiling add in the spaghetti.
- Add olive oil and salt to the water.
- Add olive oil to skillet.
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet.
- Add the spaghetti noodles to the boiling water. Cook according to the package. Drain and set aside.
- Once the ground beef is cooked, add in taco seasoning. Cook according to packaging. *I didn’t drain the ground beef. Use a slotted spoon to serve once cooked to avoid the grease.*
- Add the Alfredo sauce to the same pot that you used to boil the pasta.
- Heat thoroughly, stirring occasionally.
- Add 5 – 6 splashes of the cholula hot sauce to the Alfredo sauce.
- Add in the spaghetti noodles. Toss in the Alfredo sauce.
- Began to serve by placing Alfredo Pasta, top with taco seasoned ground beef, top with Cholula Sargento Cheese, finish with tomatoes, parsley and a few splashes of Cholula hot sauce. *Note melt your cheese by adding it by heating in the microwave for 15 – 20 seconds before adding the finishings.*
- Enjoy.
