On Friday, we had a taste for crawfish but neither myself nor my husband wanted to go to a restaurant. So we decided let’s order out. I remembered someone telling me that Cafe Ahnvee had some good crawfish. I was a little hesitant because I like my crawfish seasoned right & boiled to perfection. Crawfish is one of my favorite things to eat. We are loyal to Crawfish Time but we wanted to step out of our confront zone & try a new place.
5lbs of Crawfish had mushrooms, a link of sausage & 2 potatoes & one corn.
Cafe Ahnvee’s crawfish was much bigger than the Crawfish we have had the last few times. In comparison to Crawfish time. As far as seasoning, they could use some help in the heat department. It was very bland. But I am sure if you asked for spicy they would boil it with more spice. We added our own seasoning & it was much better. Their crawfish dip was delicious! Some of the best we have had! You know crawfish doesn’t taste the same without the dip!
Overall we thoroughally enjoyed the Crawfish with the exception of it being bland everything else was delicious! Cafe Ahnvee is a place I would suggest that you try. The Cafe’s menu is mostly seafood. FYI there is also a kid’s menu.
I neeeeeed some of dat! I like mine with buttah…
There is a little place in Opelousas called The Boiling Point and the crawfish are delicious! I haven't tried Cafe Ahnvee but now I want to! LOL Thanks for the tip!
@Holly you & doug should go. Not far from your house either… Lol. U like buttah like with lobster.. Never had crawfish with buttah, I may have to try it!
@Tammy I heard about the boiling point. I will have to go there. Is it only at night that boiling point serves crawfish or all day long?
