Grilling season is in full effect. I love grilling season for so many reasons, one I love being outside when the weather is great. Two I love grilling steaks, burgers and so much more. Overall we just love cooking outside.

My family and I love grilling steaks. One of my favorite steaks is the NY Strip Steak. This NY Strip steak was courtesy of Farmhouse Delivery. The steak is 100% pasture-raised, grass fed and grass-finished NY Strip Steak from the rolling Blackland Prairie just outside Brenham, TX.

I also used the Roasted Garlic Herb from Farmhouse. The butter is made with roasted garlic cloves, sweet cream butter and fresh herbs form the perfect cooking companion that will elevate any meat or side dish.

I purchased this Grizzler pan for the OONI Pizza oven. The Grizzler pan is made of cast iron.  The Cast-iron pan with ridged surface is great for grilling meat, vegetables and more. Designed to fit all Ooni oven models. This pan is also ideal for use on all indoor cooktops or outdoor grills. Included is removable handle and beechwood serving board.

I decided to change things up with the preparation of the steak, I used the grizzler pan. This pan is awesome.

Here are the simple directions on how to prepare your steak in the Pizza Oven.

Ingredients:

  • NY Strip Steak
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Herb Butter
  • Fresh Parsley for Garnish
  • True Salt Smoked Flake Sea Salt

Directions:

  1. Heat the pizza oven to 600 degrees .
  2. Season your Steak generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Add the steak to the skillet.
  4. Slide into the pizza oven.
  5. Cook on one side for 3 minutes.
  6. Flip and cook on the other side for 3 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven.
  8. Top with Herb butter.
  9. Rest for 5 – 10 minutes.
  10. Finish with parsley.
  11. Enjoy.
