Upon arrival the restaurant is very warm and inviting. There is seating inside, outside and there is also a bar area with TV’s. At the time we arrived, business was light, but there was a steady flow. I ordered a Shirley temple, which is usually my drink of choice at most restaurants. I am slow deciding on what I will order, but because we were grabbing a quick bite to eat, I knew I wanted either a salad or sandwich. This helped to narrow my choices. Lol..
Lil mama knew exactly what she wanted to order. She decided on the Chicken Alfredo with angel hair pasta. Her dish looked amazing. I tasted the Alfredo Pasta and it was so good!! The portion size was very hefty for a child, but whose complaining. Lol. She had leftovers for the next day.
I ordered the Grilled Chicken Caesar Sandwich. The bread is homemade, baked fresh daily. The chicken breast is grilled and sliced topped with Parmesan and mozzarella cheese. The sandwich is dressed with tomatoes, romaine lettuce and Caesar dressing. I must say, the bread was delicious. Nice and crispy bread, reminded me of ciabatta bread. Romacelli has some of the best Creamy Caesar dressing I have ever tasted.
The only complaint that I had was that my sandwich did not have enough dressing, but I asked for some and she bought me some to the table. Fixed the problem right quick. The cheese was absolutely delicious. There were chunks of chicken. The sandwich was very scrumptious. The portion size was enough for two servings. One of the best sandwiches I have had in a long time. That bread, I can eat everyday. Amazing…
My husband ordered the meatball sandwich. He said that it was very good. The meatball sandwich consisted of homemade meatballs topped with mozzarella cheese and marinara sauce. The sandwich had the right amount of each component to make an amazing sandwich. The meatballs were very tasty, you could taste the oregano, basil and fresh herbs in the meatballs. Very good. The marinara sauce was delicious. His sandwich was also on the homemade bread. Romacelli also offers homemade wheat bread.
The location we dined at was the Sugar Mill Pond location. I must say, I prefer the Sugar Mill location rather than the River Ranch location. The employees are much nicer and the service was great! She served us well enough without being a bother. We were seated and served expediently. A very nice environment and atmosphere to dine with your family. This location is kid friendly.
There is also outdoor seating. Which is very nice to enjoy the scenery and view of the pond. With this cool weather that we have been having, why not enjoy lunch or dinner with the awesome people at Sugar Mill Pond.
Overall our experience was great. Even though we didn’t stay as long as we would if it were a normal visit, we enjoyed our food and everything came out quickly. Our food was prepared to perfection. We were served with such a pleasant attitude. The prices are very reasonable.
