A few weekends ago we were in Texas A & M in College Station for the Hillsong Young and Free Concert with our daughter. The concert was amazing.
We worked up an appetite and wanted to grab a quick bite to eat that wasn’t fast food.
Hopdoddy Burger Bar was nearby, located in Century Square. Hopdoddy Burger Bar serves up burger patties and buns that are handmade. In their words, Burgers that are designed to be devoured by hand.
The burgers are not only made by hand, but they are topped with fresh ingredients and creative flavor combinations. Definitely not your traditional burger spot.
As we entered Hopdoddy it immediately reminded me of Grub Burger Bar which was one of my favorite spots in Louisiana.
We were greeted by a young man and handed a menu. After placing our orders we were given a table number.
Baby girl ordered the Kid’s Bacon Cheeseburger with Fries. A really good burger. Perfect size for kiddos. Love that they had the bacon on top. Not normally something you find on a kid’s burger but she loved it.
My hubby ordered the Primetime. The Primetime burger consisted of American Grass Fed Kobe Beef, Brie, Arugula, Caramelized Onions, Truffle Aioli, HD1 Steak Sauce, and Tomatoes.
The combination of ingredients were interesting. My hubby enjoyed his burger.
I ordered the Llano Poblano Burger. An Angus Beef patty with Hickory Smoked Bacon, Tillamook Pepper Jack, Seared Poblanos, Chipotle Aioli, Lettuce, Tomato and onions.
A really yummy choice. I loved the flavor profile of this burger.
We also shared the Parmesan Truffle Fries. The fries were good. Topped with Truffle Oil, Parmesan, Chives and Truffle Aioli for dipping. The Truffle Aioli was delicious.
A burger bar wouldn’t be completed without a delicious shake. I tried the Strawberry Shortcake shake. The shake was made with Strawberry, Vanilla Buttercream and Shortbread Crumble. This was way too good. Oh my… Superb. Sweet finish indeed.
Hopdoddy is located in Century Square. Century Square is a super cool spot with other restaurants located nearby all in walking distance of one another.
Surrounded by a great square with water features, fire pits, lawn over-sized games, tables and chairs.
Overall, we enjoyed Hopdoddy. Absolutely loved where it was located. Such a cool spot. The service at Hopdoddy was superb.
A great spot to hang out and enjoy the company of friends and loved ones. A Kid friendly spot as well. Our daughter loved this spot.
