Who doesn’t love a good Philly Cheesesteak? The cheesiness of the Cheesesteak is one of the most important things, but next would be the meat. The meat of a good Philly Cheesesteak is important.

I decided to do a Switch-a-Roo by creating a Turkey Philly Cheesesteak. This is my healthy twist of a Philly Cheesesteak.

The sandwich includes Ground Turkey. But I am not only changing the type of meat but also the type of bread that I used as well. Going with a Sliced Sour Dough Bread.

Directions:
  1. Cut chives.
  2. Make Aioli and set aside. (See Below)
  3. Slice Onions and Bell Peppers (Julienne cut).
  4. Dice the Purple Onions.
  5. Saute onions and bell peppers. Set aside.
  6. Brown the Ground Turkey.
  7. Add Beef stock a few tablespoons. Not too much, will make it too watery. Cook down a little. Season with onion powder, garlic powder, paprika and a little slap ya mama. Not too much don't want the mixture salty.
  8. Add onions and bell peppers back to the pot. Stir. Add some dashes of Worcestershire  sauce.
  9. Stir. Taste. Add more Worcestershire if more flavor is needed.
  10. Toast the Sour Dough bread.
  11. Add sliced cheese. One of each to one slice of bread.
  12. Build sandwich. Add Aioli to bottom bread. Top with Turkey and grilled veggies.
  13. Add banana peppers for a little crunch.
  14. If you like your sandwich saucy, add a little more of the aioli.
  15. Top with cheesy toasted bread.
  16. Cut and half. Serve with chips and a pickle. (optional)
  17. Enjoy.

FYI if leftover turkey top on a Baked Potato with the melted cheese, onions and bell peppers and banana peppers. So good!
