Instant Noodles are something we grew up eating. Whether it was the noodles in the cup or the noodles in the pack, we loved it.

My brother and I were experts in making instant noodles. We loved adding spices to our noodles and making it just how we like.

I purchased a cute Foodie shirt with Maruchan on it for my husband for Father’s Day. For those who don’t know Maruchan noodles are flavorful noodles that come in many flavors. Either in a pack or a cup. Quick meals that are instant, typically taking only 3 – 5 minutes to prepare.

The shirt gave me an idea to create an Instant Noodle Bowl but as an elevated dish.

When I told my husband about my idea he laughed. I said ok, well I am about to make a believer out of you.

I created a Short Ribs Noodle Bowl. The simplest dish that had my entire family licking their fingers.

These Short Ribs were so easy and paired nicely with the Hot & Spicy Beef Noodles.

Short Ribs Noodle Bowl

Instant Noodles were a staple in our house growing up. I created an updated version of this noodle bowl for my family with my super easy Short Ribs.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 Thinly Sliced Short Ribs
  • Slap Ya Mama
  • Onion Powder
  • Garlic Powder
  • Smoked Paprika
  • 4 - 5 Cups Maruchan Hot & Spicy Beef Flavor Ramen Noodles
  • 1 Small bag Shredded Carrots
  • 1/2 Lime Juiced
  • 2 - 3 Bundles Fresh Basil leaves
  • Fresh Cilantro For Garnish
  • Green onions Chopped For Garnish
  • 1 Lime Cut into Wedges
  • Non-Stick Spray
  • Soy Sauce

I had some Short Ribs left from another recipe so I decided to use the ribs in my dish.

Ingredients:
  • Thinly Sliced Short Ribs
  • Slap Ya Mama

  • Shredded Carrots
  • 2 Limes
  • Fresh Basil Leaves
  • Fresh Cilantro
  • Green Onions
  • Soy Sauce
  • Non-Stick Spray

Directions:
  1. Season your Short Ribs with Slap Ya Mama, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder and Smoked Paprika the night before. This will intensify your Short Ribs.
  2. Chop some green onions for garnish. Set aside.
  3. Cut one lime into wedges. Set aside.
  4. Preheat Air Fryer for 5 minutes.
  5. Spray the inside of the Air fryer basket with Non-Stick Spray.
  6. Place the Short Ribs in the basket. Top the ribs with the Fresh basil leaves.
  7. Click the beef button ands set the Air Fryer to 400 degrees.
  8. Mix a little soy sauce and lime juice in a small bowl. Set aside.
  9. Cook the Short Ribs in Air Fryer for 10 minutes. Halfway through baste the ribs with lime juice and soy sauce. **My Short Ribs were tender and flavorful**.
  10. While the Short Ribs are finishing in the Air Fryer, prepare the Ramen noodles. One trick, I've learned is to pour water to line as instructed but instead of the hot water, I use cold water and cook for 3 minutes in the microwave. Place the entire cup of noodles and water in the bowl. This is in case the cup overflows a little.
  11. Once the noodles are done. Stir and let the noodles sit an additional minute in the liquid.
  12. Now it's time to build the bowl. Stir the noodles, pour the noodles and the liquid in a Ramen bowl. Add a Short Rib on one side. Add Carrots. Garnish with green onions, fresh cilantro and a lime wedge.
  13. Squeeze the lime over the entire dish.
  14. Enjoy.
