It’s Summer time and the weather has been gorgeous here in Texas. It was a sunny, breezy day yesterday so we decided to get out and enjoy the amazing weather.
We headed to Levy Park.
Levy Park is a great place to spend time with your family. Here is a link to a more detailed review of the Park. https://dastylishfoodie.com/2019/06/levy-park/
While hanging out at Levy Park we grabbed Lunch at the Love Shack. The Love Shack is a new addition to Levy Park. A Burger Joint with a Signature Western Spin on Classics like Texas Angus Burgers and Hand-cut fries.
We enjoyed a little time outside playing games, chatting and letting the kids run around awhile before we ordered food.
My husband and I perused the menu then placed our order. The menu is on the side of the building.
For our daughter we ordered the Nachos. The Nachos comes loaded with pico de gallo, cheese with the option to add chicken or seasoned ground tenderloin.
My daughter only wanted cheese. The cheese sauce on the chips were really tasty. She was pleased with what she ordered.
My son only wanted fries, so we ordered him the hand-cut fries. The fries were served pipping hot and seasoned with salt. Really good fries.
For my mom we ordered the Classic Yard Bird. The Organic grilled chicken with love sauce, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. The chicken sandwich taste wise was perfect my mom said. The only complaint would be that the lettuce should have been cut into smaller pieces. Other than that it was a great choice.
I wanted something different so I ordered an Amore Caliente. This was more like a combination of a quesadilla burger. A Burger patty with poblano chili, guacamole, pepper jack and lettuce on a flour tortilla.
It didn’t look fancy visually, but the flavors of this dish were superb. Such a simple dish with such flavorful ingredients.
My husband ordered the Love Burger. A burger patty with love sauce, lettuce, tomato, pickles and American cheese.
We also ordered the Crazy Good Onion Rings with a side of Love sauce. The onions were thinly sliced, battered and fried. Oh so good. The crispy onion rings paired perfectly with the love sauce.
The Love Shack has a variety of drink options to choose from. We went with fresh Lemonade and an Arnold Palmer.
Overall the food was really good. The food was made to order. We loved that the Love Shack is in the park. The perfect spot to enjoy a nice lunch and the lovely weather we have been having here in Houston.
The Love Shack HTX is located in Levy Park at 3728 Wakeforest Ave., Houston, TX 77098. The Hours of Operation are Daily 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
