Summer Fun is looking different these days. But one good thing about living in Houston is there is so much to do in driving distance. Plus we have only been here 2 1/2 years so there is still a lot that we haven’t seen yet.

My grandmother and mom were here visiting and we wanted to go out and do something but still be able to maintain social distancing.

We decided to go to the Houston Zoo. My husband, kids and I have been to the zoo but only for the Zoo Lights. We didn’t see any of the animals since it was at night.

So we headed to the Zoo. My grandma is such a trooper and she loves doing new things.

One of the things I loved about the Houston Zoo is that they had wheelchairs available for rentals. This helps when you have older family members visiting and when they haven’t traveled with their own wheelchair.

The rental was cheap. The process was easy.

We arrived at the Zoo and there was a good crowd of people that was there already.

Thankfully we were allowed to purchase the tickets online. Let me say this, The Houston Zoo sells tickets daily, but the tickets are sold in 2 – 3 hour increments. This helps to avoid overcrowding.

We took a few pictures and we were ready to tour and explore at the ZOO.

My son was excited about the Dragons Soar Exhibit. So cool.

We had lunch at the Cypress Circle Cafe.

Here is the video for more of our fun day at the Zoo. Enjoy!
