Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love Cookbooks. I have shelves and shelves full of cookbooks. I love checking out the newest cookbooks. Seeing some of the different recipes that people are creating is always fascinating and inspiring.

I enjoy taking an afternoon off from work to sit and enjoy a good drink and read a cookbook.

Cookbook reading is my way of research and development and helping me to get motivated with creating new recipes for myself.

I am thrilled to introduce a new cookbook that will be released in February called Rustic Joyful Food: Generations by Danielle Kartes.

Danielle Kartes is a rising Seattle food star. Creating uniquely homey and delicious recipes. With a focus on hearth, home, family, and connecting with the people you love, Danielle’s from-the-heart creations will help you build memories around the table that last a lifetime.

RUSTIC JOYFUL FOOD: GENERATIONS is a thoughtful look at family-driven comfort food – heirloom recipes that have been handed down. The recipes within these pages tell a story of a simpler time and well-worn hands. These recipes give a glimpse into Danielle’s life and how she grew up; here, you’ll find heartwarming stories about life, love, and the food they create”.

“Like me, Danielle Kartes realizes that food is the great connector — a conduit to bring people together around the table and create new memories.” – Rachael Ray.
