My family and I are slowly going back out into the community. This Covid-19 is no joke and it is imperative for us that we are being safe.

We ventured out for a little shopping and dessert.

LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch is an upscale shopping area with retail and restaurant spaces. With a main street style area that also has apartments and office spaces available for lease.

Our kiddos wanted a sweet treat, so we tried Gelato & Co. 

Gelato & Co. is a sweet shop that serves Gelato, Coffee, Sorbets, Sweet treats like Cakes and Italian Sodas.

Here is a little more on Gelato & Co. Gelato & Co. creates gelato with real and the fresh ingredients. All items are made from scratch. Using real ingredients allows Gelato & Co. to achieve the yummy, flavorful and great textured Gelato.

A farm to table concept is what Gelato & Co. strives to serve by purchasing organic produce from local farmers.

The sorbets are fat free, dairy free and packed with fruit.

As we entered the Sweet Shop, it immediately reminded me of Italy. It had the feel of one of the sweet shops/coffee shops that I visited during my time in Italy.

The sweet shop was wide opened. There weren’t many tables, due to the Social Distancing order.

All of the employees at Gelato & Co. had mask on. In addition, there were lines on the floor for social distancing as well.

We approached the counter and there were over 15 flavors available to choose from.

The kiddos placed their orders.

Our daughter ordered the Stracciatella, vanilla with chocolate chips.

Our little man ordered the Strawberry Sorbet. So yummy.

I decided on a Affogato which is a shot of espresso with a scoop of gelato. I had a Vanilla Affogato with a scoop of Dulce de Leche. It was yummy. A nice punch.

Nothing picturesque. As a food blogger it’s all about the picture. Which was a little disappointing because no matter what you are serving your customer, everything should be presented with perfection.

My husband ordered the Medium, 3 flavor Gelato. He chose the Passion Fruit, Strawberry and Mango Gelato. OH so good.

In addition, Gelato & Co. also serves Gelato Sandwiches, Italian Milkshakes, Pop Gelato and Whole Cakes.

Overall Gelato & Co. is a cool spot to grab a sweet treat with the family. Delicious Italian sweets to cool off from the Summer Heat.

Their is not many seating available inside right now, but there are great places to sit outside. Tables or Benches as well as places for the kiddos to play.

LaCenterra is a lovely place to spend time with your family. Spend a Saturday in the area.
