I am excited to be back sharing new restaurants spots that we have visited. I apologize to all of my faithful readers for the delay. It is Summer-time and the kiddos are out and I’ve been busy with them.
I have lots of good content coming to my blog and youtube channel. Please continue to be patient with me and stick with me.

Last Friday we were hanging out as a family and we stopped in at Orleans Seafood Kitchen for lunch. When we are on the hunt for good food, we are often drawn to Seafood spot.
Orleans Seafood Kitchen is a New Orleans themed eatery, serving up New Orleans style dishes. With menu items like boiled seafood, po-boys, gumbo, etouffee, fish and much more. The items are available for counter or table side service.
The restaurant has the vibe of a New Orleans. From the music to the decor.
We walked in and immediately noticed that we had to order prior to having a seat. So we quickly pulled up the digital menu.
Orleans Seafood Kitchen has a nice outdoor seating area. So we grabbed a spot outside.
The restaurant doesn’t have any food runners so you will receive a pager that will buzz when it is time to come and pick up your food when it is ready.
Our Boudin Balls were up first. The boudin balls were battered and fried. Served with their remoulade sauce and french fries.
The kiddos loved the Boudin balls. Fried nicely and paired well with the sauce.
Our son ordered the Kid’s Cheeseburger. As you can see he was ready to dig in. He loved his cheeseburger. Served with french fries and a drink.
Baby girl ordered the Bowl of Crawfish Bisque. Served with Garlic Bread. The bowl of Bisque was delicious. She loved it.
My husband ordered the Catfish Orleans. This dish consisted of 2 blackened catfish fillets topped with crawfish and pico de gallo in lemon butter sauce. Served with dirty rice, smothered green beans and garlic bread.
My husband dish was superb. He loved this dish. The food was seasoned perfectly with the exception of the green beans were bland and the bacon wasn’t rendered enough. Presentation wise it could have been better. The fish was falling apart. But taste wise the food was on point.
I ordered the Catfish plate with garlic mashed potatoes and gravy. I added a side of green beans.
The Catfish was superb. Fried perfectly and the seasoning on this dish was spot on. The mashed potatoes were delicious also with the flavorful gravy. As I said before the green beans were not good. I would recommend going back to the drawing board with that one. Possibly adjusting the seasoning and adding crispy bacon.
Overall the food was really really good. As a fellow Louisianian, they made Louisiana proud. The food was prepared nicely and seasoned well.
The service was just ok. Louisiana people are friendly and the staff wasn’t mean but not as welcoming as you find at a New Orleans restaurant. But that’s just my opinion.
I think that they do a great job with the food and offering items on the menu to suit everyone.
