My grandma was here visiting for a week with us. She just had a birthday; she turned 90. Wow how many people can say that they have lived to see 90. What a blessing!!
While she was here we stopped in at Goode Co. Seafood for lunch after church one Sunday.
Goode Co. Seafood is a spacious, upscale restaurant with nautical nods decor and family-friendly atmosphere. The Katy Freeway location sets the sea-bound mood with a new slew of dishes and an oyster bar. Serving fresh seafood dishes with a touch of creole!
As we approached the building, I immediately loved the clean look of the outside with the white and Navy blue exterior.
Walking in we loved the look and feel of the restaurant. The hostess were really nice and welcoming.
My grandma uses a wheelchair when we walk long distances. The staff was very helpful in making sure she was comfortable.
We were seated quickly and our waitress arrived at the table to take my order.
I ordered a mocktail that was prepared at the bar and they did an incredible job on this mocktail. Well balanced flavors and delicious.
My husband ordered some Mesquite Grilled Oysters. The oysters were prepared with Garlic herb butter, Romano cheese, French bread. The oysters were superb.
We placed our orders and enjoyed the rest of the oysters.
Our little man ordered the chicken tenders and fries. The chicken tenders were fried to perfection and served with seasoned fries.
Great option for kids.
Baby girl ordered the Stuffed Crab Dinner. The crab was stuffed with seafood and served with seafood rice, an empanada and garlic bread.
A Great portion size. Everything was prepared nicely. The empanadas were incredible. This dish was a win. She ate off of this dish twice. Really good.
My hubby ordered the Grilled Gulf Red Snapper. The Red Snapper was basted with Goode’s signature marinade and grilled. The dish was Served with an empanada, garlic bread, and green beans and red potatoes.
A delicious looking fish dish. Overall this dish was really good. Lacked a little seasoning on the fish. But the dish as a whole was pretty good. I think that the plating needed some help.
My grandmother and I shared the Seafood Platter. Let me just say this platter was huge!! The platter included a hearty heaping of catfish, fried Gulf shrimp, fried oysters, stuffed shrimp, and stuffed crab. Served with French fries and I added fried onion rings. Served with an empanadas, cocktail sauce, Tartar sauce and ketchup.
Every single dish on this platter was incredibly delicious. From the onion rings to the fish, etc. seasoned and fried to perfection. Wow, really good. My grandma was pleasantly pleased.
