Cajun Green Beans
Green beans and potatoes were a staple in our home growing up. It was in our rotation weekly. But as a side dish. Well this Cajun Green Beans can be eaten as a meal or a side dish. Whatever you prefer. My guys love Meat and potatoes so I prepared Short Ribs with Rice and Gravy with a side of these Cajun Green Beans. So good.
Ingredients:
- Bag of Yellow Potatoes (small ones)
- Snipped Bag of Green Beans
- Chicken Stock (entire carton)
- Diced Colorful Bell Peppers
- Diced onions
- Cajun Seasoning(2-3 tbsp)
- Smoked Sausage Sliced
- Lipton Beef packet (1 packet)
- Water (1 – 2 cups)
- Smoked Paprika
- Garlic and Herb Seasoning (optional or use Cajun Seasoning)
Directions:
- Rinse the small yellow potatoes. Cut the potatoes into fours. Set aside.
- Set the instant pot to Saute.
- Add a tbsp of olive oil to the instant pot.
- Heat.
- Add in the smoked sausage. Saute. 5-7 minutes or until browned. Stirring often.
- Add in the bell peppers.
- Add in the onions. Stir and saute. 3 minutes.
- Add in the green beans.
- Add in the Beef Lipton Recipe Secrets packet.
- Add in the chicken broth.
- Add in the water.
- Add in 2 – 3 tbsp of Cajun Seasoning. Stir.
- Set the instant pot to the beans setting for 25 – 30 minutes. Pressure level high.
- Cover with the clear lid if you have it, Shop it here
- Halfway through the cooking process, season the green beans with smoked paprika, garlic and herb seasoning. Taste.
- Add in some salt (optional).
- Stir.
- Once finished cooking. Serve over rice or pair it with short ribs. It was so good with the short ribs.
- Enjoy.
Serve with Short Ribs over Rice and Gravy. So good.
