Cajun Collard Green & Cabbage

Cajun Collard Green & Cabbage

I have a confession, I’m not much of a vegetable eater? I know, I know, yes I need vegetables. But I have a few that I like. Collard greens are an excellent source of vitamin A, C, and calcium. In addition, rich in vitamin K, and a good source of iron, vitamin B-6, and magnesium. Collard greens are very good for you. This is something that I do eat.

Cabbage is a good source of Vitamin C, high in fiber and Vitamin K.

Collard greens + Cabbage = a very nutritious dish.

Today I’m sharing my Cajunified Collard Greens and cabbage dish.

Very simple and easy to make.

Simmering Pots

Simmering Pots

I love Candles. Almost everyday a candle is lit and leaves our home feeling so fresh. In addition to scented candles, I love Simmer Pots.Simmer Pots are also inexpensive in comparison to candles. Simmer Pots can be made year round. What is a simmer pot you ask? Well I’m glad that you asked. A simmering pot is a pot that is filled fragrant items that fills your home with refreshing scents.

Cajun Pizza

Cajun Pizza

Most of the pizzas I make will not include a traditional red sauce. Fun fact about me, I have acid reflux so I often avoid tomato based sauces on my pizza.

This new pizza creation is my Cajun Pizza. This one has a shrimp scampi sauce as the base. This pizza was superb.

Seafood Etouffee

Seafood Etouffee

Etouffee is a dish that I grew up eating. Etouffee has a thick, gravy like consisitency that has some sort of seafood. This Louisiana classic is one of the dishes we ate a lot growing up.

I have many recipes of this delicious dish. I was shipped these air fryer silicone liners. This liners make cleaning up easier.

I created an easy Shrimp and Crawfish Etouffee. Yes, I created this dish in the air fryer. You heard it.

Vision Boards

Vision Boards

As the New Year is approaching, I’m reflecting and praising God for the many opportunities that He has allowed me. Also thanking Him for the adversities because I know that it’s only developing me into what He has for me in the future.

One of the things I do every year is a Vision board. Last year we started doing this as a family with our kids.

I believe that we should teach our kids how to dream big. How to set goals for themselves in life and what they need to do to acquire those goals.

Popfancy Desserts

Popfancy Desserts

Popfancy Dessert Bar is a really cool concept. The theme of the dessert bar changes every month. This month is Magical Wanderlust. Based off of popular Novels like Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter, Nutcracker and a few others. The menu has something for everyone.

The menu options were so creative. It was a cool, family friendly atmosphere that both of my kids loved.

Pizza Night

Pizza Night

Pizza night is something that we do with our kids often. We typically make our own. For some reason it’s just so much better. We had been talking for a long time about purchasing our own Pizza oven. We researched the different options that’s on the market. After much discussion and talk about it, we finally decided to purchase the Ooni Pizza Oven. This Ooni Pizza oven is a multi-fuel cooking oven. Fueled with real wood or charcoal box with the optional gas burner. This pizza oven is portable.

Holiday Cider

Holiday Cider

Holiday Traditions are a big deal in our home. Our kids look forward to all of our holiday traditions.

One of our traditions is we decorate the our home indoors and outdoors as a family. We make a full day of it. We wear holiday pajamas, I cook gumbo (seafood gumbo recipe coming soon) and make my Holiday Cider. Oh man!!

Biscoff Eggnog

Biscoff Eggnog

Oh Friday am I happy to see you. It’s been a crazy week and I’m looking forward to relaxing and enjoying my Biscoff Eggnog.

An easy way to spruce up a basic Eggnog. This Eggnog that I grabbed didn’t have any nutmeg kind of weird if I must say myself. But I didn’t realize it until I began to prepare it. No worries. I added a few simple ingredients to make a delicious Eggnog treat.
