A cold front has come in! Yay for a few days of cooler weather.
This Crab Bisque was quick, easy and delicious. BlueRunner foods makes it easy with their Creole Bisque base.
Just add your seafood. Of course I add a few additional seasonings but it can be eaten as is.

Serve over rice or with crackers. I made this for lunch one day. So delicious.

Life has been crazy this past week. I’m back home from Louisiana for an unplanned trip.
My mom was in a terrible accident and my family and I had to rush over to Louisiana. I’m so grateful that she is ok and that God’s hand of protection was over her life.
It was a great reminder that things happen fast. Value those around you. Make sure they know that they are loved, seen and valued.

On Friday my husband and I headed out to Early Vot

On Friday my husband and I headed out to Early Voting🗳️. After we were done we headed out for a quick bite to eat. We’ve been passing Gloria’s. Gloria’s Latin Cuisine is a Family-friendly chain restaurant that serves Salvadoran & Tex-Mex dishes. Gloria’s has several locations across Texas.

Here’s what we tried:
* Virgin Strawberry Margarita on the rocks
* Pupusas
* Carne Flameada steak was prepared perfectly. Cheesy goodness
* Pescado a la Gloria Pan seared tilapia, shrimp, scallops, red snapper, mussels in a seafood broth, Spanish rice is like a seafood soup but a Tex-Mex version. Flavorful and very very good. My only complaint would be to serve the rice on the side instead of in the soup. That’s just my preference. I would definitely order this again. Packed with seafood.
Overall the food was good. The Service was ok.

As if I need another reason to shop at Target? But KiwiCo is carried at Target. What is KiwiCo you ask? Well I am glad you asked KiwiCo is a company that sells hands on projects for kids of all ages.
My son is a builder. He absolutely loves building things from legos to stem toys and so much more.
When I first heard about KiwiCo I was so excited to share it with him.

I’m not much of a hot dog eater but every now and then I will crave one. I used to eat the ones from Sonic but it’s been a minute. I decided to make it at home for me and my guys.
Our daughter was out of town so it was the perfect meal for them since she doesn’t like hot dogs.
I used the chili starter by Tabasco. An easy shortcut.
Washed this meal down with a yummy Watermelon Lime Olipop.

It’s Wellness Wednesday. I’ve been working to come up with NEW, Healthy Recipes for my family. My husband and I are trying to be intentional about eating healthier. Now I have to be honest, I am typically not a salad person. But there are a few salads that I really love to make.
I have recently created a new one that I absolutely love, my Spicy Dumpling Salad. This salad was superb. There are only a few simple ingredients, but it is sooooo good!!

Being from Louisiana we are always on the hunt for

Being from Louisiana we are always on the hunt for Seafood restaurants. Our teenager had a fellowship at church, so my husband, son and I grabbed lunch at Bayou City Seafood.
Bayou City Seafood serves Cajun inspired dishes such as poboys, gumbo, fettuccine, seafood dishes and much more.

Here’s what we tried:

* Fried fish nuggets with cocktail sauce and tartar sauce
* Kid’s crawfish tails and French fries
* Seafood courtbouillion with shrimp, jumbo lump crab, crawfish, fish with rice. Absolutely superb. Well seasoned and tasted like the courtbouillion I eat back home.
* Dale’s special, shrimp, jumbo lump crab, scallops, crawfish, broccoli and diced tomatoes served with rice. A really good dish. But the plating was sloppy, but my husband loved this dish.
* We ordered two slices of Key-lime pie to go. Oh my. really really good! @bayoucityseafood
