Something sweet for this Sunday Funday!
About two weeks ago after school, my teenager and I stopped in at Dirty Dough cookies for a sweet treat. Dirty Dough is dessert shop that offers ice cream, shakes and stuffed cookie bombs. Each cookie is stuffed with a yummy flavor. If you love Crumbl cookie you will definitely love this spot. @dirtydough
Here what we tried:
* Brookie, a brownie stuffed with a cookie with a caramel surprise
* Raspberry pop tart, for the fruity lovers this one is delicious. Sugar cookie filled with raspberry jam and topped with icing and sprinkles. So yummy.

Fried rice is a quick meal. One that can be made in less than 30 minutes or made ahead of time.
We are approaching Basketball 🏀 season for both of our kiddos. Which means some nights we will be arriving home late. I tested this recipe to add to my go to dishes for dinner. This dish is was a hit with my crew.
Having a wok in my kitchen allows me to create fried rice or stir-fry dishes.

My husband, son and I revisited Ragin Cajun after church on Sunday. Ragin Cajun serves up Louisiana dishes like poboys, boiled seafood, gumbo and much more.
Ragin Cajun is a great place to watch Louisiana teams play. We are big Saints fans but there are not many places we can watch the game in Houston.
Here’s what we tried this time:

* Kid’s fried crawfish tails with fries (our son loved it)
* Signature Chargrilled Oysters with herbs, Italian cheese blend and lemon garlic butter Good flavor, but rubbery.
* Shrimp and Grits with shrimp, andouille sausage, over creamy grits and toasted garlic bread. Let me say, I’ve had my share of shrimp and grits being from Louisiana. This is the first time I’ve had a sweet shrimp and grits. Omg NO! Sugar don’t go in grits. This dish was beautifully presented but a disappointment with the sweetness of the dish. Louisiana doesn’t add sugar in grits.
* Blackened Seafood Plate with blackened catfish, rosemary, sautéed vegetables and lemon garlic butter! Dish of the day! Superb! A healthy option! Such a good dish!

Weekends are for gardening. 🪴🪴 I spent the afternoon planting new herb plants. The heat this summer was Brutal and really destroyed my herbs.
I found a new planter for my herbs that I placed on one of our back patios.
While I planted my herbs I finished up on the new season of Virgin River on Netflix! Such a good show!
After I was done I made me a yummy refreshing drink, my Pineapple Strawberry Boba Chiller. Really yummy. Made with some mint from my new herb garden.

As a Foodie, I love trying new food and experienci

As a Foodie, I love trying new food and experiencing new dining options like Hot Pot. Hot Pot cooking is where diners sit around a table of broth like chicken, beef, seafood, etc and cook various meats, seafood and veggies. A really cool experience.
My family and I checked out Haidilao Hot Pot. We loved the dining experience. Experiencing the Hot Pot Culture was really cool. My kids loved it as well.
The Seafood and Brisket was our favorite. We prepared Scallops, Shrimp, Mussels, Squid in our broths. There is also vegetarian options.  Be sure to get an order of the Dancing noodles. It comes with a show. So fun!!
The food and service was really cool. Pictured is my Seafood and Brisket prepared in a spicy broth. I made my own sauce that was prepared from their fresh bar of ingredients to create your sauce for dipping. SO good! I highly recommend it!
The restaurant provided aprons for the family to protect our clothes from any splatter. As well as Scrunchies for the ladies. A nice touch.
The service was really good. A very kind staff as well.
