As if I need another reason to shop at Target? But KiwiCo is carried at Target. What is KiwiCo you ask? Well I am glad you asked KiwiCo is a company that sells hands on projects for kids of all ages.
My son is a builder. He absolutely loves building things from legos to stem toys and so much more.

I’m not much of a hot dog eater but every now and then I will crave one. I used to eat the ones from Sonic but it’s been a minute. I decided to make it at home for me and my guys.
Our daughter was out of town so it was the perfect meal for them since she doesn’t like hot dogs.
I used the chili starter by Tabasco. An easy shortcut.
Washed this meal down with a yummy Watermelon Lime Olipop.

It’s Wellness Wednesday. I’ve been working to come up with NEW, Healthy Recipes for my family. My husband and I are trying to be intentional about eating healthier. Now I have to be honest, I am typically not a salad person. But there are a few salads that I really love to make.
I have recently created a new one that I absolutely love, my Spicy Dumpling Salad. This salad was superb. There are only a few simple ingredients, but it is sooooo good!!

Being from Louisiana we are always on the hunt for

Being from Louisiana we are always on the hunt for Seafood restaurants. Our teenager had a fellowship at church, so my husband, son and I grabbed lunch at Bayou City Seafood.
Bayou City Seafood serves Cajun inspired dishes such as poboys, gumbo, fettuccine, seafood dishes and much more.

Here’s what we tried:

* Fried fish nuggets with cocktail sauce and tartar sauce
* Kid’s crawfish tails and French fries
* Seafood courtbouillion with shrimp, jumbo lump crab, crawfish, fish with rice. Absolutely superb. Well seasoned and tasted like the courtbouillion I eat back home.
* Dale’s special, shrimp, jumbo lump crab, scallops, crawfish, broccoli and diced tomatoes served with rice. A really good dish. But the plating was sloppy, but my husband loved this dish.
* We ordered two slices of Key-lime pie to go. Oh my. really really good! @bayoucityseafood

Today is Travel Tuesday, Punta Cana would be a nice spot to be whisk away today but I’m settling for a delicious meal from a Punta Cana Caribbean restaurant.
One of the amazing things about Texas is the different cultures that are represented here.
My husband and I stopped in for lunch a few weeks ago at this Caribbean restaurant.
Here’s what we tried:
* Passion fruit juice really yummy
* Fresh lemonade
* Shrimp empanadas
* Chicharron de pollo (Dominican fried chicken pieces) was delicious but it would have been better as whole pieces instead of chunks.
* Rabo Encendido oxtail stew with rice and beans - delicious rich stew
Overall we loved our dining experience at the Punta Cana restaurant. From the music to the customer service to the food. Felt like we had been whisked away to a little island restaurant in Punta Cana restaurant. The food was delicious. The oxtails was the star of the day. My only complaint would be that the plaintains weren’t served with the dishes it was a side dish. Most places serve it together. But that would be my only complaint if I had one. @puntacanahtx

My teenager was at a HS retreat for a few days. When she arrived back in town and we picked her up. She immediately wanted something to eat. She loves fried rice and had already requested that before she left as her meal when she came back.
We normally make it at home or order from one of our favorite takeout spots, but we decided to dine in at Up Thai Kitchen.

Up Thai has one of the best fried rice dishes I’ve eaten called crispy Chicken Herb fried rice. Superb. A must try, level 3 if you can handle the heat. My favorite go to meal from there.

Here’s what we tried:
* Crispy Chicken Herb fried rice the best dish I’ve ever eaten from Up Thai Kitchen
* Shrimp tempura (they were out of spicy mayo so I wasn’t happy about that. It was ok with the sweet and sour sauce)
* Crab fried rice really really good. It was made with imitation crab, but it was delicious. My teen ordered a level 2 and it was pretty spicy. Seafood holds spice differently than chicken or beef so be mindful of the spice level. But it was really good.
* Teriyaki chicken with steamed rice.
* Cream cheese puffs with sweet and sour sauce
Overall the food was on point. Served pipping hot. Each dish was made to order. The service was ok. They get pretty busy for lunch so arrive early because the place isn’t very big. Everything is was delicious. This is one of our go to places for takeout on busy nights. @upthaicypress

My crew and I stopped in at Red Flame Steak & Grill after church a few Sundays ago. Red flame has a few locations, but we visited the Katy location. @redflamekaty

Here is what we tried:
* Lobster Bisque
* Picanha Steak with crab
* Kid’s Cheeseburger with fries
* Steak Jalapeño Sandwich with fries
* Sirloin steak

Overall the restaurant is beautiful. The service was pretty good. The food was good. I have to be honest nothing really wowed us.
But here are my top picks. They have some delicious mocktails, the Steak Jalapeño sandwich was good. The steaks were decent but lacked seasoning. Salt and pepper goes a long way on a steak. The steaks were cooked perfectly but no seasoning. The Lobster Bisque was delicious.

Red flame has a variety menu which I loved. There was something for everyone.

Chicken Parm is one of my favorite meals. I traditionally eat it with pasta, but I decided to eat the dish this time with a caesar salad.
I switched up this recipe by Air Frying our chicken. A healthy alternative instead of deep frying the chicken. Then topped it with marinara and Fresh mozzarella cheese. So good.
Honestly I didn’t miss the pasta.
